• OxBridge Applications - ELAT and interview prep
I am the eldest of nine children so I have helped my younger siblings with school work for as long as I can remember. I began working as a tutor at my school in Austria first, assisting younger students in their studies through the so called 'Buddy system'. During my studies at Oxford University I worked as a tutor for a British company where I gained experience tutoring children with learning difficulties such as dyslexia and dyspraxia teaching GSCE and A levels (AQA and Edexcel). I also have experience with Oxbridge applicants, with 2 of my students having been accepted by Oxford University after I helped them with both ELAT and interview preparation. I have worked over Zoom for a Chinese company where I prepared Chinese students who wanted to continue their education in British schools for GSCE and A Levels (CIE). Over the Summer in 2018 I worked for a Summer School that catered to German students who were about to do their English language and literature A level equivalents in Germany.
I was born in Hungary and moved to the UK aged five, where I completed primary school. At eleven, I moved to Vienna, Austria, where I graduated from secondary school with an award for academic excellence at the Sacred Heart Vienna. I went on to study at the University of Oxford, where I graduated top of my year with First Class Honours at St Anne’s College. I am fluent in English, German, Spanish and Hungarian, and have five years of experience as a languages tutor. I aspire to use my literary abilities in the field of narrative design for video games.
Having been taught in a variety of different countries including England, Austria, and Spain, I have a wide range of teaching methods which I draw on to make every lesson engaging and effective. I aim not only to provide students with the necessary tools to tackle exams, but above all to inspire a love for their subject, and a desire to learn about it for its own sake. Although I love passing on my enthusiasm for the subjects I teach, I am also patient and understanding, which helps me tailor my teaching style to each individual student's unique needs.
What I do when I am not tutoring
As of September 2018, I have started my MA at the University of Arts London studying Video Game Design, which lasts for one year and three months. Afterwards I will be looking for a job in the same field in London.
