I have a wealth of experience teaching in the 8 years since graduating from Oxford, predominantly preparing 7-13 year olds for their 7+, 11+, and common entrance. Alongside preparing students for Oxbridge interviews, I have also prepared students for their GCSEs and A-levels.
All of my students are guaranteed highly attentive teaching, where I tailor what is required for each student to make sure they achieve their desired outcome, be that a particular grade in a subject or a place at a school or university. This can range from providing targeted help with exam technique, revision tools and schedules, simple guided learning or demystifying complicated topics that can be glossed over in larger school classes.
In my classes, I want students to be comfortable in saying 'I don't know'. This can mean going back to basics with some, taking a subject or particular topic further than the curriculum with others, all the while with an exam-orientated approach to help a student reach their goals.
Outside of tutoring, I manage and sing in the band Low Island. Our latest album reached #17 in the Official UK Sales Chart and #2 in the iTunes chart in a multi-territory campaign that saw us play-listed on radio stations in the UK, Germany, Australia and America, with features in Rolling Stone and a sold-out UK tour. We have previously performed at Glastonbury, Lollapalooza Berlin, Open Air Zurich, Wilderness and Latitude festivals.
I am an avid reader, theatre and gallery-goer.
