Prior to joining Keystone Steph was a primary school teacher. She has a wealth of experience in working with students in Years 1 to 6. She has tutored over 4,300 hours with us and also assists with our 7+ and 8+ assessments.
Alice is an Oxford graduate with a passion for academia and learning. She enjoys working with children across the age range and can also help with Oxbridge preparation. Florence is an experienced tutor who has worked across the age range, helping 90 Keystone clients. While first completing a DPhil and then working as a research fellow at Oxford, Florence held several teaching and lecturing roles. However, she also helps primary level students build solid foundations. Florence encourages her tutees to become self-motivated learners with a love for their subjects.
Emily is an experienced tutor who joined the team in 2017 and has delivered over 2,700 hours of lessons. Emily has taught in England as well as abroad. She not only helps students with 11+ and 13+ entrance exams but also with English and Spanish up to A Level.

7 Plus Interview Questions
How do I prepare my child for a 7 plus interview? A good starting point for preparing your child for the 7 plus interview would be to simply have regular conversations with them on any topic. Conversing with your child – taking turns in listening and speaking, with questions and answers included – will help your child to interpret and respond to the interviewer’s questions.
A Guide to the 7 Plus Examinations
The 7+ is sat by students in Year 2 for entry into their new school in Year 3. Students typically take the 7+ in January of Year 2, but it is worth noting that some schools require students to sit them before Christmas. It is important for parents to check the admissions section of their intended schools’ websites to confirm dates.

Tips for Dealing with Exam Season Anxiety
Keystone's Head of Elective and Homeschooling, Poppy Dundas, was joined by our guest expert Clare de Lotbiniere, a BACP Accredited Psychotherapist and Professional Tutors Jon Gale and Lara Isaac. Lara is also a trained nutritionist and together they discuss how best to get your child prepared for the upcoming exams, including dealing with exam anxiety and calming nerves, keeping motivation strong, the best foods to eat and general revision tips and tricks.
English represents a key component of 7+ entrance exams to independent schools. This will often include a reading comprehension and writing component and at some schools may also include a grammar test.
