Established in 2007, Keystone Tutors is one of the UK’s leading private tutoring organisations. Here is a sample of the university undergraduate and graduate English tutors that we represent. They are predominantly based in London and work online with families based outside of London or overseas.
Florence is an experienced tutor who has worked across the age range, helping 100 Keystone clients. While first completing a DPhil and then working as a research fellow at Oxford, Florence held several teaching and lecturing roles. However, she also helps primary level students build solid foundations. Florence encourages her tutees to become self-motivated learners with a love for their subjects.
Alice is an Oxford-educated tutor who has taught over 9,400 hours through Keystone with more than 380 families. Her independent sector teaching experience enables her to provide a high level of support to her tutees.
Jessica is a published, professional historian and an engaging and dedicated tutor. She is patient and encouraging and equips her students with the confidence and skills to tackle their academic obstacles. She has taught over 3,100 hours with Keystone.
Andy holds a BA (double first) and a PhD, both from the University of Cambridge, and an MA from King’s College London. He is an experienced tutor in English, Philosophy, Religious Studies and academic writing skills. Since joining Keystone in 2015, he has taught over 6,500 hours with Keystone and helped over 270 families.
Michael is a graduate of King's College, London and also has a PhD in English. He joined Keystone in 2017 as a full-time tutor and he has helped over 130 families since then and taught over 4,000 hours of lessons.
Eleanor's approach to tutoring is measured, supportive and fun. She tutors alongside her freelance work at the Melanie Klein Trust.
"We are coming to the end of the school year and I just wanted to say a big thank you for teaching and supporting my daughter who cannot praise you enough. Most amazingly, she has discovered her joy for creative writing and reading. As a direct result of all your work with my daughter her grades and her confidence have shot up and I can see that you are motivating her to go way beyond her school work. Her new school has noticed the change in her as well. She has received excellent and very encouraging feedback from both her English teachers and her writing is often used as examples during class."Parent of a Y12 English Language and Literature student
"Kate was brilliant and just what we were after – someone to nurture a love of English rather than purely focusing on entrance exams. As a tutor, Kate has a wonderful warm manner and is engaging, fun and inspiring; my daughter thoroughly enjoyed her lessons. She was offered places at all the schools she applied to as well as an academic scholarship to one. So thank you for helping us with our tutor search – it’s tricky finding the right one but Kate was perfect."School Entrance Parent
