I attended Downe House School, where my passion for English and literature began. I achieved 10 GCSEs (A*/A) and studied English Literature, Geography, Theatre Studies, and History of Art at A-Level (3As/1B).

I then studied at Newcastle University, attracted by their respected combined studies degree, which allowed me to expand and deepen my interest in my core subjects (English, Politics and Geography). This degree also enabled me to spend a year studying and teaching abroad in Buenos Aires and Valencia, while becoming near fluent in Spanish.

During University, I discovered my love for tutoring, working as an after-school club assistant in Newcastle and as a business English tutor in Valencia for adults seeking to improve their English.

Although I originally intended to become a teacher, my career took a different path. I began working for a politician in Westminster and went on to serve as a Special Adviser to two Secretaries of State at the Department for Work and Pensions, the Department for Culture, Media & Sport, and the Northern Ireland Office (advising the Secretary of State on media, communications and policy).

Since leaving government, I have been Head of Corporate Communications at Deliveroo, Executive Director of the Startup Coalition, and Director at a global PR firm.

My personal approach is extremely supportive, kind, and encouraging, tailored to meet the unique needs of each student. I take the time to understand the student's character, interests, and goals, which helps me create the most effective teaching methods and personalised lessons. This includes a clear plan of action and achievable objectives.

My lessons are creative, interactive, and shaped by the student's feedback to ensure continuous learning and development. Alongside delivering clear results, I aim to build self-belief and inspire a curiosity and love for learning that extends far beyond our tutoring sessions.

I am a public relations consultant, focused on helping inspiring individuals and organisations tell their story, campaign on important causes and build respected reputations.

Outside of work, I enjoy spending quality time with my three-year-old daughter. We enjoy engaging in creative activities together, such as painting, cooking, and crafting.
