I have worked as an independent academic tutor since 2022, specialising in law admissions preparation and humanities-focused academic reasoning.
Over this period, I have delivered 3,000+ hours of one-to-one and small-group teaching to students in the UK and internationally.
My teaching most frequently supports students preparing for the LNAT and applying to highly selective universities including Oxford, Cambridge, LSE, UCL and KCL. Across structured programmes (typically 8–12 weeks), students achieve average LNAT improvements of 6–8 points, driven by targeted work on:
- critical reading and argument evaluation
- identifying assumptions and logical flaws
- handling competing interpretations in dense texts
- structuring concise, high-quality essays under time pressure
I also prepare students for Oxford and Cambridge law interviews through mock tutorial-style discussions, focusing on real-time reasoning, response to challenge, and clarity of explanation.
Alongside admissions work, I support students in A-Level and IB essay-based subjects including Economics, where students typically achieve 1–2 grade boundary improvements over multi-month programmes, and one full grade improvement within a month in intensive formats.
In addition to private tutoring, I have:
- Delivered mentorship programmes within Oxford International schools
- Acted as a visiting lecturer at Solihull School, delivering academic workshops
- Designed and delivered small-group academic discussion and debate programmes (ages 11–18)
- Worked with leading summer schools in Oxford, teaching critical thinking, academic writing, and early-stage admissions preparation
Across all teaching contexts, my focus is on building transferable analytical ability, not just short-term exam performance.
