I have nine years' teaching experience in a variety of settings and subjects. This begun when I taught classroom Drama for Year 9 boys at St Paul's School from January-August 2017, during my time working there as a Drama Graduate.
In 2017, I began tutoring one-on-one. I took on private students, most of whom were preparing for 11+ exams at Dulwich College. I tutored them in English and Maths. All of them passed their exams and reached their school of choice.
In 2018, I started tutoring for an agency, delivering one-on-one and group lessons online. I focused on teaching English, Maths, Verbal and Non-Verbal Reasoning for 11+ and 13+. During my time with this agency, I taught students as young as 7. Occasionally, I taught GCSE students in subjects such as English Literature, English Language and Music.
In 2022, I attained a CELTA qualification in ESL English Teaching at Stafford House, London. Shortly after this, I moved to Japan, where I taught English as a Second Language to students in a junior high school. I taught in classrooms of 38 students. I also taught in-house at the British Council for their summer intensive courses in 2023. At the same time, I taught singing and song writing to students from Year 1 to Year 13 at The British School in Tokyo, an international school.
In 2024, I returned to the UK and resumed tutoring for various agencies for whom I had taught prior to my time in Japan. Primarily, I focus on tutoring ISEB and UKiset exams (11+ and 13+) and very much enjoy teaching all four subjects in these exams: English, Maths, VR and NVR.
I spent five weeks in Shanghai in the summer of 2025 teaching intensive courses for a tutoring agency on 11+ ISEB and UKiset (English, Maths, VR and NVR), as well as delivering a sixth week teaching Creative Writing, Drama and UK History.
