I am a mechanical engineer with extensive experience (2000+ hours of tuition) as a tutor since 2014. My tutoring experience has ranged all the way from last-minute one-off exam preparation sessions to several months' tuition agreements on a vast variety of subjects. Last year I completed a six-month private tuition contract where I worked as a private A level Maths and Physics tutor for a prestigious family in Dubai, preparing their son for his A levels this year. I worked for this family since January 2019, carrying out tutoring sessions every day including weekends, working on past papers, revising the syllabus in-depth, working with different literature
I have helped prepare students for IB Maths SL exams both online and face-to-face and I have helped prepare a student for his MAT exam. Moreover, I have successfully prepared various of my students for their Maths IGCSE/GCSEs (both higher and foundation tiers) and I have predominantly worked with exam board Edexcel; however, I have also worked with AQA and Cambridge boards among others.
Moreover, I have successfully prepared various of my students for their 13+ and 11+ common entrance exams including St. Pauls, Sevenoaks and Godolphin & Latymer and I have just solidified a tuition agreement with a family based in the UK to tutor and support both their children for the whole of the next academic year, as they start 13+ level education at Eaton Square Upper School.
Furthermore, I have consistently worked as an online tutor as well over the past three years. Providing tuition in A-level Maths and Physics, A-Level statistics and Mechanics, IB Maths SL, GCSE Physics and Maths and more. Moreover, some of my online tutoring experiences include preparing an engineering student for his Fluid and Solid Mechanics module exam this summer, providing online A level Maths tuition for a student who was aiming to get a confidence boost over the Easter break aiming to achieve a better preparation for the A level exams this year.
During my tutoring sessions, I focus on solving past papers, revising the syllabus in-depth, working with different literature and books and developing stronger exam sitting techniques. Through a patient, versatile and kind yet firm approach, I help my students develop their true potential, build their overall confidence and achieve their goals.

I am Manfred, a professional tutor with extensive face-to-face and online tuition experience in the Greater London area since 2014. Over the last 5 years, I have specialized in tutoring the GCSE/IGCSE, A-Level and IB Maths and Physics syllabuses, as well as music theory and musical instrumentation. I recognize the strengths in all my students and help them improve their weaknesses by facilitating an environment where they feel comfortable and safe to give it their best, make mistakes and truly learn. Through a patient, versatile and kind yet firm approach, I help my students develop their true potential, build their overall confidence and achieve their goals.
I graduated in 2009 from the Simón Bolívar University in Venezuela with a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering. During my engineering studies, I discovered I had a natural talent and a strong passion for teaching and helping others while working as a tutor at an academic center that prepared students for their university entrance exams. After graduating, I went on to work as a Mechanical Design Engineer for a world-renowned tunnel construction machinery manufacturer in Germany until 2013.
Music has always been an essential part of me and I have been playing the guitar practically my entire life. After a year-long sabbatical, I decided to move to London to study music. Ever since moving to the UK in September of 2014, I have consistently worked as a session guitarist for various artistic projects, performed year-round live residencies in prestigious venues in central London, played as an instrumentalist at major music festivals and toured both the UK and wider continental Europe. I graduated in June 2018 from the University of West London and was awarded a First Class Honours Bachelor’s Degree in Popular Music Performance.
Throughout my studies in London, I have been actively working as a private tutor in all my subject specialisms, gathering over 2000 hours of private tuition. I have successfully prepared many students for their GCSE/IGCSE, A-Level and IB exams, I have been in charge of the home education of some of my students, I have taught guitar and music theory and seen my pupils’ guitar skills continuously improve and their passion for music constantly grow, and I have worked abroad as a private tutor for a prestigious family.
My diverse range of experience and skills, from Engineering, to tutoring Maths and Music, as well as my performing experience; all added to my excellent ability to communicate and connect with students, have contributed towards the successful development of my outstanding and professional tutoring service.
I have a very versatile approach to tutoring and I am able to quickly adapt and effectively adapt my teaching methods to match the pupil's level and style of learning. Furthermore, I make sure that I emphasize the importance of having an in-depth knowledge of a subject in order to guarantee a successful learning process. I also try to promote discipline as a fundamental value and finally, I always try to have an element of humor and fun in my lessons!
I perform as a session guitarist for various projects and at different live music residencies throughout London. I also aim to take a part-time role as a teaching assistant at a London based school from September till June next year.
I love playing sport (football, tennis, volleyball) and fitness in general. I also enjoy diving, hiking, climbing mountains, snowboarding, or simply being in nature!
