Theo read War Studies at King’s College London and then worked for the Ministry of Defence before joining Keystone as a full-time tutor. He believes that all students have intellectual potential and helps them cultivate this. Theo has taught over 1,100 hours with Keystone families both online and in person.
Jon is a former Head of Science with over 10 years' experience in teaching GCSE Science and A-level Physics. He joined Keystone in 2012 and has helped 240 Keystone families over this period, teaching more than 9,500 hours.
Anthony graduated with a Physics degree from Imperial College, London. He tutors across the board from 11+ through to A Level and has taught over 4,800 hours with Keystone as well as having considerable tutoring experience prior to joining our team of full-time tutors in 2017.
Richard graduated with a 1st class degree in Maths from the University of Leeds. He has been tutoring Maths for over 8 years alongside his studies. Richard's teaching style is adaptive and allows his lessons to be tailored to the needs of his students.
Dominic is an experienced Science tutor with a PhD in Chemistry. He has tutored for many years, teaching over 3,400 hours through Keystone. He aims to make his lessons interesting and fun and he also recognises the importance of exam technique.
Trudi is a Maths and Business tutor with a background in accountancy. Her gentle and supportive approach encourages students and really helps boost their confidence in their subjects and skills.
Kate is a first class law graduate who joined our team of full time tutors in 2017 and taught in a school before joining Keystone. She has tutored over 4,100 hours through Keystone and helped over 180 families.
Sean studied Politics, Philosophy, and Economics at Durham University where he subsequently completed a Masters of Science in Global Politics. Sean has tutored since 2019 and has a real passion for education, learning and teaching.
Jean-Michel is an experienced tutor with degrees in Physics, Philosophy and Literature. He enjoys finding new ways of teaching his subjects and aims to foster a love of learning in his students. During his time at Keystone, Jean-Michel has taught over 1,800 hours.
Rory started tutoring whilst at Oxford and has worked with students of all ages. He teaches Maths, Science and English across the board. He is enthusiastic and encouraging and gets great feedback from his students. He has worked over 5,100 hours with Keystone.
Clio spent 10 years working as an Actuary before starting her tutoring career. She is passionate about Maths and aims to inspire her students with her knowledge and enthusiasm. Clio has delivered 800 hours of 1:1 tutoring as well as running multiple Keystone courses.
Jack studied English Literature at the University of Edinburgh and graduated with first class honours. He then went on to complete an MA in Creative Writing at Royal Holloway. He tutors both Maths and English across the age range and aims to create an open and reflexive learning environment.
Oli is an experienced tutor and a Cambridge graduate with a first class degree. He joined Keystone in 2010 and has tutored over 7,300 hours, helping over 230 students across the age range.
Joseph is a Durham graduate and a highly personable tutor who has taught 1,000 hours through Keystone. He helps with a wide range of subjects from English to Science. Joseph has a structured but adaptive approach to lessons, which aims to build up students’ confidence in their subject area and develop their independent learning skills.
Grace studied Natural Sciences at Durham before embarking upon a MSc in Neuroscience at King’s College London. Grace has taught over 1,100 hours and helped 50 Keystone families. She has a passion for Maths and Science and strives to create a teaching environment where pupils feel able to ask questions and be themselves.
Harry is a patient and personable Oxford graduate with a flawless academic background. He uses a calm and supportive approach to build a strong rapport with each of his students. Harry is an experienced tutor in Religious Studies, Maths and English, with over 3,000 hours taught whilst at Keystone.
Olly is an Oxford graduate and experienced tutor. He has a real passion for teaching as well as for writing, theatre and sport. Olly has taught over 4,500 hours with Keystone.
Greg is a professional tutor with a stellar academic record - he achieved a first class Masters degree at Imperial College London. He has tutored with us full-time since leaving University, amassing over 7,700 hours of lessons and helping over 160 families.
Frazier is passionate about teaching and learning and has been tutoring since his sixth form years. He identifies the specific challenges faced by a student and then forms a plan of action to tackle these. During his time at Keystone, Frazier has helped 130 students and taught well over 2,500 hours.
Cat is a qualified Teacher who studied Physics and Philosophy at Durham University. She is currently working towards a PhD in the Philosophy of Astrobiology alongside her tutoring. Cat is very encouraging and supportive and recognises the importance of moving at the right pace for each individual and has worked with 30 Keystone clients.
Alexander is a Cambridge graduate and exceptional Mathematician. He teaches students across the age and ability range but mainly focuses on A Level, IB and MAT/STEP tuition.
Dhananjay is a Cambridge graduate and a gifted linguist. He teaches from the 11+ - university level. He is currently a full-time tutor.
Andrew is an enthusiastic tutor with a passion for Maths and Physics. He has experience with SEN and homeschooling students and enjoys sculpting his lessons to meet the student's requirements.
Joshua has a passion for Maths and Physics and has recently completed a Masters in Maths at King's College London after an undergraduate degree from Oxford in Physics and Philosophy. After studying Astrophysics at university, Raphael has sought to enthuse others with the physical world around them. His committed, engaging and supportive demeanor allows him to build confidence in students who ordinarily find Maths and Science a challenge.
Yasmin is currently completing a PhD in London and is a graduate from the University of Oxford. She is an experienced tutor in Maths and English. A Guide to STEP Maths
What is STEP Maths? STEP stands for Sixth Term Examination Paper and is a collection of three exams (STEP 1, 2 and 3) which traditionally are used in conditional offers by Cambridge to determine if you get accepted for Maths or Maths-related degrees. Other universities, like Warwick and Imperial, use STEP in some of their Maths offers. You sit these papers in the Summer alongside your other exams like A-Levels, IB and Pre-U.
The Maths Admissions Test (MAT) at Oxford
What is the MAT? The Maths Admissions Test (MAT) is the admissions test used by Oxford for degrees in Mathematics. If you’re applying for a Maths or Computer Science degree at Oxford or a Maths degree at Imperial College London, you must sit the MAT just after beginning year 13 in late October/early November.

Tips for Dealing with Exam Season Anxiety
Keystone's Head of Elective and Homeschooling, Poppy Dundas, was joined by our guest expert Clare de Lotbiniere, a BACP Accredited Psychotherapist and Professional Tutors Jon Gale and Lara Isaac. Lara is also a trained nutritionist and together they discuss how best to get your child prepared for the upcoming exams, including dealing with exam anxiety and calming nerves, keeping motivation strong, the best foods to eat and general revision tips and tricks.
