I have over 5 years' tutoring experience and have made a successful career, thanks also to the testimonials from parents and students shown below.
I am a full-time tutor and have taught a variety of students. Their age ranges from 5 to over 60. Their location ranges from London, to their boarding schools, in the Far East, or America. The subjects covered include English, Maths, French, Spanish, Italian, German, Latin, Portuguese, Mandarin Chinese, Russian, Ancient Greek and English as a Foreign Language.
I also have experience teaching English, Maths, Verbal Reasoning and Non-Verbal Reasoning to students who I have helped apply for many different schools, mainly at the 11+ and 13+ levels, as well as English and Maths to younger students (Year 1 to Year 4).
I have also revised and given feedback on students' personal statements for different university applications, particularly to Oxford and Cambridge, as well as provided interview practice with detailed comments, ratings and suggestions for improvement.
Many of my students have had great success and achieved the highest grade possible after being predicted a lower one. One particular student of French achieved a 9 in his GCSE after initially being very low on confidence in the subject and telling me that he was absolutely terrified of doing his speaking exam.
A number of my students have achieved top grades, including at 11+, 13+, GCSE, A Level and Oxbridge admissions.
I have helped students to achieve entrance to the following schools (mainly at 11+ and 13+ level): Eton College, St Paul's, North London Collegiate, Dulwich College, Highgate, UCS, City of London, Haberdashers and many others
I have helped students to achieve entrance to the following universities: University of Cambridge, University of Oxford, UCL and various others
I have helped students to achieve top grades, or to significantly improve on their grades, at GCSE and A Level. I excel at getting students to perform in significant exams and tests.
Born and bred in London, I am far from the typical Londoner in that I am a polyglot and have learnt over 15 languages. I have taught 8 languages and Maths as well as prepared students for school and university admissions.
I grew up in North London, but went to secondary school at St. Paul's Boys, in Hammersmith. After achieving 11 A*s in my GCSEs there, including 5 A*s in foreign languages, I went on to study Italian (A*), French (A), Maths (A*) and Economics (A) for A Level, as well as doing Further Maths (A) up to AS Level.
I then completed my first degree in French and Italian at the University of Cambridge, where I obtained a 2.1 with a Scholarship for my first year results. My Director of Studies kindly stated: ''Dhananjay is one of the most gifted students I have ever taught in 22 years at Cambridge University: his capacity to learn, understand and apply new languages, cultures and linguistic structures is simply phenomenal.'' I spent my Year Abroad at the University of Rome, where I also learnt Russian taught in Italian.

I am very grateful for the excellent testimonials that parents and students have left me, some of which are shared below.
I believe that flexibility is very much key to tutoring. I therefore tailor my approach to each individual student and their particular goals. I assess my students in the initial lessons and devise a plan to enable them to achieve their objectives. I monitor progress against this plan.
I try to transmit my enthusiasm for the subject to my student, as finding motivation is a big part of learning. As a fluent speaker of over 10 languages and with considerable language knowledge, I find demonstrating my passion quite easy and can enthuse students with similar passion. The success of this approach is validated by some of my students continuing lessons with me just for enjoyment, even after they have sat their final exams.
I try and see if my own approach to learning can be suitable for some students. My approach was summarised by my Director of Studies at Cambridge as ''his essays, presentations and general attitude to learning was always an inspiration for the other linguists and often for myself and his other Lecturers. Dhananjay has been a top Cambridge student…”.
I am a full-time tutor, and am very committed to this field. I teach students based in the Far East in the mornings, students in the UK and USA in the evenings. I also teach over weekends.
In my spare time, I am very enthusiastic about sports, such as football and tennis, and playing guitar and have often bonded with students over our mutual passion for these.
