Most of the students I teach have a specific goal and I therefore ensure that I know the details of the syllabus and examination requiremets.I feel it is important for students to gain the confidence to ask questions in a relaxed atmosphere without pressure from their peers and I encourage their active participation in our sessions, by working together through problems once the theory has been covered.
What I do when I am not tutoring
I have a large garden which takes up some time. Living in a small village in open countryside I enjoy walking and observing the birds, butterflies and moths.
I travel extensively and enjoy meeting new people and making sure I keep an open mind to different points of view and new experiences--vital as one grows older.
