I am an experienced and dedicated educator with a strong academic background and a passion for helping students succeed. I began my educational journey in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, where I completed the International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma Programme with Higher Level subjects in Biology, Psychology, and Geography. I then pursued my undergraduate studies in the Netherlands, earning a degree in Economics and International Development through a fast-tracked honours programme.

With over 9 years of classroom experience, I have taught in diverse educational settings in both South Africa and England. My teaching is informed by a deep understanding of pedagogy, student development, and subject expertise. Recognising the importance of psychological insight in education, I returned to university during my teaching career to complete a degree in Psychology. This has significantly enhanced my ability to support students not only academically but also emotionally and socially.

With nearly a decade of experience teaching primary-aged children, I have developed a clear understanding that no single method works for every learner. My approach is rooted in adapting teaching strategies to suit each child’s learning style, ensuring they can access and engage with the material confidently. I aim to create a structured, supportive, and encouraging environment. I draw on a range of proven techniques, such as visual aids, scaffolding, and memory strategies, to help children consolidate their understanding and make steady, meaningful progress.

I am currently a Year 5 teacher at a primary school in Richmond. I love exercising and going to museums!
