I have five years of tutoring experience, teaching AQA, OCR and Edexcel Biology and Chemistry at GCSE, iGCSE and A-Level. While living in Scotland, I also taught Biology and Chemistry at National 5, Higher and Advanced Higher levels. I have worked with many students who have additional educational needs, such as ADHD and dyslexia, along with students who have left mainstream schooling due to issues like anxiety and exam stress. In the 2026 exam season, I helped students to secure places at top universities, such as Newcastle, UCL and Warwick, to study competitive courses including Medicine.

In summer 2025 and 2026, I worked as a subject tutor for Oxford Summer Courses, teaching Medicine to small groups of students aged 13 – 18 through seminars and tutorials. I designed my own curriculum and lesson plans for each course, choosing to focus on infection and immunology, and created learning materials such as worksheets and group activities.

Additionally, I have led several workshops on university admissions preparation, focusing on Oxbridge interview techniques for Biochemistry and Natural Sciences. I have also done one-to-one admissions tutoring to prepare students for the Biology and Chemistry modules of the Cambridge Natural Sciences exam (ESAT) and to assist students with writing their personal statements. I have helped students to secure interviews for Biochemistry and Biology at Oxford, and Natural Sciences and Veterinary Medicine at Cambridge.

In August 2025, I joined Keystone as a Professional Tutor and completed the Professional Tutor Training Programme, including 11+ English and Maths training. I will continue to undertake professional development training throughout my time at Keystone.

I grew up in Birmingham and attended Solihull Sixth Form College, where I achieved A-levels in Biology, Chemistry, and French, and an AS-level in Maths. I went on to read Biochemistry at The University of Edinburgh, where I gained a 2:1 Honours degree and completed a summer research internship in a university lab. I then studied a Master’s by Research in Biochemistry at The University of Bristol. Throughout my university studies, I have tutored part-time both remotely and in-person, a rewarding experience that led me to pursue tutoring as a full-time career!

I am a friendly, caring, and engaging tutor who seeks to equip students with the study skills needed to succeed independently. My top priority as a tutor is creating an open environment in which my students feel comfortable asking me any questions, no matter how big or small! My favourite aspect of tutoring is watching a student's confidence develop throughout the time we spend together.

I will always make sure to understand a student's personal goals, and I encourage students to actively participate in our sessions, using lots of practice questions and revision tasks. I take a creative approach to tutoring, ensuring that my teaching methods are tailored to the individual needs of the student: for example, using lots of diagrams for students who prefer visual learning, or inventing mnemonic devices for students struggling to remember key concepts.

When teaching online, I use an interactive approach through tools such as Concept Board and Pencil Spaces, engaging my students through short tasks followed by review exercises. My in-person tutoring sessions include personalised worksheets and use of interesting revision techniques.

When I’m not tutoring, my favourite hobby is being active and spending time outdoors! I absolutely love swimming and I've even had a go at wild swimming lately, although it's usually way too cold for me. I also enjoy doing yoga, yapping with my friends, drinking too much tea and coffee and reading. I've recently moved to London for the first time, and I'm having lots of fun exploring all that the city has to offer!
