I have been primarily focusing on Mathematics, Business Studies, all 3 Sciences and Computer Science for over 9 years. I have tutored for 7, 8, 10 & 11+ preparation, GCSE, A level and IB level. I believe in simplifying and structuring seemingly complex and overwhelming tasks, approaching them in a way that demystifies the learning process and empowers the student. A tutor teaches their student how to learn, how to structure their thought processes and tackle a task by breaking it down into manageable steps - and how to confidently structure and communicate their thoughts under exam conditions.

I continually research new teaching methods that will help my students find new pathways to successful learning and (remembering all those important exam techniques). If something does not work with a student, I make sure to find a better way of working that will suit them.

I feel strongly that learning should be enjoyable, building a sense of confidence, accomplishment and self-esteem, as well as teaching self-discipline and self-motivation. My main objective is to teach my student how to learn, how to structure their thought processes and tackle a task by breaking it down into manageable steps - and how to confidently structure and communicate their thoughts under exam conditions.

I believe that the one-to-one environment of private tuition allows me to nourish and develop students' capabilities, grown outside of the classroom, realising their full potential. I advocate a Socratic approach to learning – one in which the teacher encourages the student to use their own initiative and mind to seek answers and find solutions. Having a flexible teaching approach is where the student receives a deep level of personal attention and encouragement from their tutor.

I am passionate about learning and create a nurturing, stimulating, fun and warm environment for my students. It's important to me that they feel confident and relaxed, and be unafraid to take risks and make mistakes. Each child I work with is an individual and I pay attention to their personalities and learning habits, making sure they receive exactly the kind of support and encouragement they need to do their very best.

As an online tutor, I take a personalized approach to each student's learning needs and preferences. I believe that the use of digital whiteboards and other interactive tools can bring online lessons to life and enhance the learning experience. I make use of various tactics such as visual aids, animations, and interactive quizzes to make the lessons engaging and interactive. I also tailor my lessons to the individual student, focusing on their unique strengths, weaknesses, and interests. By taking a student-centered approach, I am able to help my students feel more engaged and motivated in their studies. Overall, my goal is to provide a dynamic and interactive learning environment that helps students to fully grasp the subject matter and achieve their academic goals.

My teaching style is simplicity above all, and I take a lot of inspiration from the quote “If you can’t explain it simply, you don’t understand it well enough”. My primary focus is to foster a love of learning in the pupils I support and arm them with the learning tools and strategies to flourish independently, without creating a dependence on myself. I am a passionate educator who can transmit information in an engaging and creative way, bespoke to a child’s learning style and interests. Building confidence, resilience and a ‘can-do attitude’ is at the heart of my tutoring philosophy.

As well as being a tutor for Keystone, I am a Software Engineer and Solutions Consultant. I regularly read and spend time working on AI and how it can revolutionise our day to day activities. I now work at Adobe Systems consulting clients on how to use the right software for their business.

When not in front of a screen, I love going to the gym and taking up sports. I mainly play badminton but also love hiking and running and will seize any opportunity I can to go on an adventure. Furthermore I play the Indian drum (Dhol) internationally catering for weddings, birthdays, corporate events.
