I underpin my teaching with 23 years of industry experience, which informs my curriculum design and classroom delivery. I have hands-on experience in restructuring KS3 to mirror current technological trends, which has contributed to my role as a curriculum developer. My teaching experience spans multiple exam boards — OCR, AQA, Edexcel, IB, and International Cambridge — giving me a solid understanding of how best to adapt teaching to help students achieve their best outcomes. I have a proven track record of improving results in 2024: 86% grades 9-7 at GCSE, 78% A*-A and 100% A*-B at A-Level in Computer Science, and 90% A*-A in EPQ results. This success is supported by my ability to interpret, analyse, and utilise data effectively through the creation of robust tracking tools to focus the learning trajectory of my students.

Biography

Following a diverse and rewarding professional journey, I began with 23 years in the IT industry, working as a senior consultant in Capital Markets and culminating as an Engagement Architect at Sun Microsystems. I then transitioned into entrepreneurship, running a successful media business for 13 years. Today, I am fully immersed in education, with extensive experience as Head of Computer Science in three schools — a role that allows me to combine industry expertise, creativity, and a passion for teaching.

When not tutoring

Outside of teaching and tutoring, I love movies, food and playing badminton. I am learning Italian and enjoy travelling to experience new cultures.
