Specifically, I have completed 2,300 hours tutoring A-level and below, mostly economics, 1,200 hours tutoring BSc- and MSc-level economics and business & management, and 500 hours of tutoring and consulting, supporting prospective applicants to study BSc economics/PPE, land economy or joint honours degrees in social sciences at Oxbridge.

I was the Head of economics (IB) at Marymount International School, Kingston-upon-Thames, 2006-08 and a teacher of economics (A-level, OCR) at St Mark's Academy, Mitcham, 2016-17.
A former student of Eton and Oxford, I am a gifted teacher and tutor of Economics, Business Studies and social sciences and humanities generally, with over ten years of experience of tutoring and teaching in a variety of contexts from age ten to masters-degree level. I was previously the head of International Baccalaureate Economics at Marymount International School for Girls, Kingston-upon-Thames from 2007-09.
My philosophy of education is that all children are unique and must have a stimulating educational environment where they can grow physically, mentally, emotionally, and socially. It is my desire to create this type of atmosphere where students can meet their full potential. I will provide a safe environment where students are invited to share their ideas and take risks.
I believe that there are five essential elements that are conducive to learning. (1) The teacher's role is to act as a guide. (2) Students must have access to hands-on activities. (3) Students should be able to have choices and let their curiosity direct their learning. (4) Students need the opportunity to practice skills in a safe environment. (5) Technology must be incorporated effectively.
I am working on completing the final draft of my monograph based on my PhD research about European businesses in colonial Calcutta for publication. I work part-time as a lecturer in the School of Business & Management at Queen Mary University of London. My interests include competitive running from 5km to marathon with Victoria Park & Tower Hamlets Athletics Club, and attending a fortnightly reading group with academic friends in the US and Canada that just finished Moby Dick and is currently reading Ulysses.
