I have been tutoring students in humanities subjects for ten years, ranging from providing extra work and catching up missed lessons to confidence boost lessons and exam technique sessions. I have experience in both classroom and individual settings, adapting my style to the needs of who I am tutoring. Outside the classroom, I have rowing coaching experience for a range of age groups which I have found useful to develop an engaging and practical style focusing on developing skills over a long period of time to go on to win medals at national competitions.

I studied four A Levels: Ancient History (A), Geography (A*), Maths (A), Design and Technology (A*) in 2019 at Eton before going to Lady Margaret Hall, Oxford to read Classical Archaeology and Ancient History. Outside of the library, I trained to cox the Boat Race in 2020 and 2021 and rowed for LMH at collegiate level. After graduating with a First, I completed an MPhil in Classics at Jesus College, Cambridge where I researched Christian Martyr texts, diaspora Synagogues in Italy and wrote a dissertation on the geographic variation of the Cult of Mithras in the Late Roman Empire. I joined the Royal Navy in 2024 and passed out of Britannia Royal Naval College before spending time in the Falklands on HMS FORTH in 2025.

I genuinely believe that you can achieve anything with patience, confidence and the right study skills. Tutoring is all about finding the right methods and what works for each student to build that confidence. No two people work in the same way and I enjoy adapting to personalise approaches and get the best out of each student I tutor. The ultimate goal is to give students the skills to become self-sufficient and confident for the future. I like to create a supportive environment which is friendly, relaxed and where questions are encouraged (there really is no such thing as a stupid question). Whether it is exam technique, revising tricky topics or building confidence, if you want to achieve something, I fully believe we can do it.

Having recently left the Navy, I have the advantage of having time on my hands and the ability to be flexible. I love to be active and sporty: I am often out on my bike or running in Richmond Park and I am currently training for the Milan Marathon and Tallinn Ironman in the summer. I also enjoy going to the Amex to support Brighton and Hove Albion when I can. I have a cocker spaniel puppy, Nellie, who loves dragging me out the door for a walk when she takes a break from chewing everything.
