A Level Maths

For past 13 years I have been teaching Mathematics at Putney High School, including IGCSE, FSMQ and A level (both Pure and Applied) with great success. I have taught students across the full spectrum of the school's ability profile, supporting and motivating girls to achieve their best, whether that is a grade 7 at GCSE or an A* at A Level. As well as teaching in a classroom setting I have supported students in a one to one setting in school clinics.
I have significant experience of pastoral support in my Head of Year role, encouraging students through the simultaneous challenge of personal difficulties (mental health, bereavement and more) and academic stress, to sit their exams and thrive.

I was brought up in South West London, attending Putney High School, followed by sixth form at Rugby School where I took A Levels in Maths, Economics and Geography. After completing a degree in Land Management, I obtained qualification as a Chartered Surveyor whilst working in private practice. I retrained as a Maths Teacher in 2010 and for the last 13 years worked at Putney High School, London SW15. I am now fully focussing on tutoring students in Maths

I am a dedicated Maths tutor with a deep enthusiasm for the subject and a strong belief in the power of logical thinking. With 15 years’ experience in GCSE and A level Maths teaching, I bring energy and clarity to every session, helping students see Maths not as a hurdle but as a set of ideas they can connect together and truly enjoy. Whether addressing core skills or problem solving, I approach each topic with clarity, structure, and infectious excitement. Known for transforming complex concepts into intuitive steps, I inspire learners to push beyond memorisation and develop genuine mathematical understanding.

I have recently left teaching full time at Putney High School. I now intend to tutor part time up to 5 days per week. Beyond work I enjoy cooking, walking, travelling and spending time with my family.
