I am an experienced primary school teacher with seven years of classroom experience across four schools, including both independent and state settings.

Throughout my teaching career, I have held a number of curriculum leadership responsibilities, including leading English Writing, Phonics, Science and Key Stage 1. I have extensive experience teaching Key Stage 1 and have taught Year 2 SATs cohorts for four consecutive years. This has involved preparing pupils for statutory assessments, analysing attainment data, implementing targeted interventions and contributing to moderation processes.

My experience spans the full primary curriculum, with particular expertise in literacy, phonics and supporting pupils to make strong academic progress. I am confident in assessing individual learning needs and tailoring teaching to help pupils achieve their potential.

I took a career break from teaching following the birth of my son but since April 2026, I have been working in a different professional sector, developing additional skills in project management, strategy and consultancy. While I have enjoyed broadening my professional experience, I am keen to continue working with pupils through tutoring, drawing on my extensive teaching background and passion for education.

Having taught for many years in a classroom setting, I have developed a teaching style in order to ensure that all pupils are engaged and able to access the learning. I consider myself to be a fun teacher who uses humour & learning through games and practical exercises as tools. No two lessons should be the same and children should be excited about the learning. I am also patient and understanding and am able to adapt my teaching quickly in many diverse ways in order to ensure that the child is able to access the learning and make progress whilst also feeling comfortable and at ease.

When I am not tutoring, the remainder of my week is spent caring for my 18-month-old son. Alongside this, I am in the early stages of launching my own small business creating and selling hand-painted watercolour greetings cards. I love to paint in my free time and create all of my own designs, whilst also doing personal commissions for friends and family.

Other hobbies include reading, cooking and pilates.
