I have delivered over 300 hours of one-to-one tuition across 11+, GCSE, A-Level Biology, Chemistry and Mathematics, as well as UCAT and medicine admissions.

Rather than relying on repetition, I aim to build genuine understanding. Students who understand why a method works are far more confident when they encounter unfamiliar questions than those who simply memorise procedures.

I deliver GCSE and A-Level Biology, Chemistry and Mathematics tuition aligned to exam-board specifications. I diagnose individual weaknesses through targeted questioning before adapting the pace and explanation to consolidate understanding before progressing. I have also worked with SEND learners, adapting explanations, pacing and resources to each individual student.

Some of my students’ outcomes include:

GCSE Mathematics: Grade 3 to Grade 9.
A-Level Mathematics: Grade C to A*.
Multiple strong UCAT scores and successful Medicine offers, including Imperial College London.

I also have experience preparing students for 11+ Mathematics, focusing on reasoning, problem-solving and exam technique alongside the curriculum.

I am currently a medical student at Imperial College London, having achieved A* grades in Biology, Chemistry and Mathematics at A-Level. I have always enjoyed explaining difficult concepts to others, which led me to begin tutoring privately in January 2022 while I was still at school.

I tutor to first principles rather than rote memorisation: students who understand why an answer works can handle questions they have never seen before. Every lesson is adapted to how the student learns, with a clear focus on exam technique, confidence and measurable results.

My approach is centred around understanding rather than memorisation. I teach from first principles, making sure a student understands why something works so they can apply their knowledge to unfamiliar questions rather than simply recall model answers.

I also adapt each lesson to the individual student. I first identify their strengths and weaknesses through targeted questioning, then adjust the pace, and explanations accordingly. I place emphasis on exam technique alongside subject knowledge as being able to answer effectively under exam conditions is just as important as knowing the content.

I am currently studying Medicine at Imperial College London while continuing to tutor throughout the academic year.

Medicine is a demanding degree, but I have found tutoring to complement it well. Explaining scientific concepts to students reinforces my own understanding while allowing me to continue doing something I genuinely enjoy.

Over the next few years I intend to continue tutoring alongside my medical degree. I value building long-term relationships with students and families, and I am looking for an agency where I can make a consistent commitment for at least the next two years. My university timetable allows me to offer reliable weekly lessons during term time as well as increased availability during university holidays.
