I have tutored for the past few years for children ranging from the age of 5 to 11. I tutor a variety of subjects, with a particular focus on Maths and English. I have also tutored two girls for 11+ who both were successful in getting into Francis Holland.
As a teacher, I have taught years 2, 3 and 5. I have also carried out a number of smaller, focused groups to enhance the children's confidence and knowledge. I have worked with children with a range of background and specific learning needs, in particular EAL children. I have enjoyed seeing the excellent progress that my students have made due to my ability to adapt to their needs and learning styles.
I was born in London, but moved to Hampshire when I was 4 to attend pre-prep and prep school. My family then moved to Gloucestershire and I attended Cheltenham Ladies' College for seven years. In my final two years there, I studied Politics, Geography and Philosophy A-levels. This led me to apply for a Politics degree at the University of Bristol.
Having completed my degree, I went on to be a teaching assistant at a prep school in London. It was then that I decided to complete my teacher training at the University of Roehampton in 2019. During my training, I worked closely with Year 2 and Year 5, teaching all subjects. I have been a class teacher at a primary school in London for the past year, primarily teaching Year 3.
I am extremely passionate about teaching and interacting with children in a way that makes learning as engaging as possible for them. With every child I work with, I will assess the student's individual needs, aims and learning styles to develop their knowledge and understanding.

Having tutored a great number of students over the past few years, I have found that each child has a different learning technique. This means I always try to match my teaching techniques with the learning style of the student. I am a patient, charismatic and encouraging teacher. I pride myself on developing children's confidence and knowledge across all subjects. I have a great interest in learning strategies and understanding the varying ways in which children absorb information.
I understand the pressure that children can encounter when preparing for exams, so my aim is to create an environment that is calm, fun and engaging. Above all, I believe remaining confident and happy is essential for a child's development and progress.
What I do when I am not tutoring
When I am not tutoring, I enjoy playing a variety of sports, especially netball and tennis.
I am a keen baker and cook.
I take advantage of living in London where I visit museums and galleries in my free time.
