I have been privately tutoring for over 10 years and been working with various tutoring agencies in London for over 7 years. I worked as a teacher at the Classical School of Ballet in Clapham, London for 2 years, teaching GCSE and A Level Maths to the dancers. I have also completed additional training, through various tutoring agencies and experiences, in education and pedagogy, which has given me a deep understanding of how students learn and how to optimise my teaching methods. In my previous tutoring roles, I have consistently received positive feedback from students and parents alike. I am highly organised, reliable, and punctual, and I take great pride in helping my students succeed. I am confident that I can make a positive contribution and help my students achieve academic excellence.
I am a Maths, Physics, and Computer Science tutor with over a decade of experience. I am a PhD researcher at Royal Holloway University of London, working on an experiment that is aiming to detect dark matter in the universe. I have experience tutoring students of all ages, from elementary school to university level. Whether it is basic arithmetic or advanced calculus, I have the skills and knowledge to help my students succeed. Similarly, I have tutored Physics and Computer Science at a range of levels, from introductory courses to more advanced topics such as quantum mechanics and machine learning. Throughout my years of tutoring, I have developed a reputation for being patient, dedicated, and enthusiastic about helping students achieve their academic goals. So, whether they are struggling with a specific topic, or simply want to improve their grades and confidence in these subjects, I am here to help!
My tutoring approach is personalised and tailored to the specific needs of each student. I believe that every student has unique strengths and weaknesses, and as a tutor, it is my responsibility to identify those areas and create a plan to help the student improve.
What I do when I am not tutoring
I'm currently a PhD researcher working in the field of experimental particle physics researching the direct detection of Dark Matter using the LUX-ZEPLIN underground experiment in South Dakota, US. This has been a fantastic experience for me allowing me to access a wealth of resources that I can bring to my students and the flexibility allows me to tutor part-time. I'm planning on completing my PhD next year, which will hopefully allow me to pursue tutoring as a full-time career!
Outside of teaching and learning, I'm an avid traveller and have been living in the US and in Brazil over the last couple of months! I thoroughly enjoy hiking, camping and being in nature! I play the ukulele and support Arsenal!

''I cannot express enough gratitude for the remarkable impact Amardeep has had on my child XXX's Maths education. XXX has dyscalculia, which made learning Maths particularly challenging and frustrating. However, Amardeep's patience and support has been transformative. They took the time to understand his unique learning needs and changed their teaching approach accordingly. Amardeep created an inclusive learning environment where he felt comfortable asking questions and seeking clarification. Through creative and engaging teaching methods, they made Maths accessible and enjoyable for him. The progress he has made under Amardeep's guidance is truly remarkable. His grades have improved significantly, and, more importantly, his confidence and enthusiasm for Maths have soared. I recommend Amardeep as a compassionate and talented Maths tutor with the ability to unlock a student's potential, regardless of their learning challenges. They have made a profound difference in XXX's life, and I am forever grateful!'' (Parent of GCSE Maths Student)
