I was born and raised in South London to British-Asian parents and have always drawn strength from my cultural heritage and the diverse communities I have worked in. After completing my A-levels in Biology, Chemistry, and Philosophy & Ethics (grades A, A, A) at Harris Academy I then pursued a BSc in Biological Sciences at Queen Mary University of London, where I graduated with a 2:1. I later completed my PGCE at University College London, gaining Qualified Teacher Status and undertaking a Master’s in Education Leadership.

With over seven years of experience teaching Science across Key Stages 2 to 5, including roles as Head of Science and KS5 Biology Lead, I have worked extensively with young people with a range of special educational needs, from ASD and ADHD to students accessing CAMHS for complex mental health needs. I am a Teach First ambassador with over a decade of tutoring experience, passionate about making science engaging and accessible to every learner.

I offer a nurturing yet academically rigorous approach, underpinned by evidence-based practice and a strong commitment to student wellbeing and progress. My sessions are tailored, data-informed, and designed to build confidence, critical thinking, and subject mastery, all in a safe, supportive environment.

I’ve always loved the subjects I teach, and my aim is to help students feel that same sense of interest and confidence. That comes from understanding the material properly, not just memorising it. When a student starts to see how things connect, or why something works the way it does, the subject suddenly clicks into place and that’s when learning becomes exciting. I adapt my approach to suit the individual, whether that means using clear visuals, breaking things down into manageable steps, or simply creating a calm space where they feel comfortable asking questions. I’ve worked with students preparing for the 11+ and 13+, as well as GCSE and A-level learners. I always focus on building both subject knowledge and self-belief.

Outside of tutoring, I work in education consultancy, where I support schools in developing their science curriculum, improving teaching practice, and mentoring trainee and early career teachers. I’m also currently training to become a qualified ESOL teacher and working towards a certification in British Sign Language, both of which reflect my commitment to inclusive and accessible education.

In my spare time, I train in Muay Thai and regularly practise strength training at the gym. I enjoy the discipline and challenge of both, and find they help me maintain focus, resilience, and balance in my professional life.
