I am a Classical languages specialist and I have a wealth of experience teaching Latin and Greek to at all ages, both one-to-one and in groups.
I have particular experience preparing students for Scholarship and A-level examinations and teaching the harder element of the languages - composition.
After completing my A-Levels (Latin, Greek, and Philosophy) at Brentwood, I went up to Christ's College, Cambridge to read Classics. I was the recipient of a number of scholarships and awards while there and finally graduated with a double-first class honours degree in June 2016.
I am currently pursuing training for a career at the Bar.
I have tutored throughout my time at school and university.
I have taught a lot of students over the years and each individual is unique in the way they learn. I like to spend time getting to know the way in which my students learn and, consequently, to engage with them on their terms.
That said - regardless - I bring passion and enthusiasm to every lesson with the hope of imbuing my students with those same qualities and encouraging them to learn.
What I do when I am not tutoring
When I am not tutoring, I like to continue my academic work: I still research various conjectural restorations of papyri and pursue my interest of textual criticism.
If (a big IF!) the weather is slightly better, I can usually be found playing cricket, football, or out running. My plan next year is to set up a wandering young-alumni team for regular tours.
