Established in 2007, Keystone Tutors is one of the UK’s leading private tutoring organisations. With offices in London, Hong Kong and Singapore, we work with a range of specialist tutors who can assist students with IB Biology. The Biology tutors we work with share a passion for Biology and enjoy sharing their subject knowledge with IB pupils ahead of their exams. The tutors we represent have a thorough knowledge of the IB Biology curriculum intricacies and will devise a tailored programme to suit your child's needs and aspirations.
Here is a sample of the IB Biology tutors we represent:
Before joining Keystone in 2019 Claudia taught Science at Westminster Cathedral Choir School for four years. She has tutored over 2,000 hours and assisted 90 Keystone clients. She urges her students to look at Science beyond the syllabus as it makes it easier for students to understand concepts and improve their skills.
Jon is a former Head of Science with over 20 years' teaching experience. With a specialised focus on GCSE and A-level Science, alongside his expertise in university admissions, Jon brings a wealth of knowledge to each lesson. He joined Keystone in 2012 and has helped 300 Keystone families over this period, teaching more than 11,500 hours.
Eddison is a Postdoctoral Research Associate at the University of Cambridge, working in the Department of Biochemistry. He has a wealth of teaching experience, spanning GCSE Sciences and A-level Biology and Maths, as well as university-level Biology. Eddison's approach is interactive and creates engaging and personalised lessons.
"Kate has not only helped me to understand the hardest topics in IB Biology HL and how to memorise the knowledge but she has also made me appreciate the subject. Thanks to her, I discovered a passion for biology that I previously was not aware of. We often say that students learn better and get better grades when they like the teacher. Kate is the proof that this is true. Unfortunately, this year we have not been able to prove out abilities during the end of year exams but I am sure that I would have performed really well thanks to Kate’s tutoring"
IB Biology Student"Natasha helped our son on weekly online sessions with Biology, Physics and Chemistry GCSE syllabus. Having come from overseas he felt he needed some support and consolidation in these subjects and Natasha was able to do that with her amazing knowledge across the three sciences. She is kind and positive, and established a great rapport with our son, really helping him and boosting his confidence which in turn, enabled him to gain A* in all three subjects at GCSE. We love Natasha!"

During the first session the tutor starts by assessing where the child is at, their academic ability, their strengths and perceived weaknesses. Tutors will then devise a programme tailored to the specific circumstances of the student.
After the first lesson, one of our dedicated client managers will contact you to find out how the lesson went. Our client managers are always available at the end of the phone and they are frequently praised for their efficiency, dedication and responsiveness.

Should my child take A Levels or the IB?
When it comes to deciding on the best educational path for students post GCSE, the choice between A Levels and the International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma Programme is a topic of debate for many families. Both qualifications offer unique approaches to learning and present opportunities for children to excel academically at school and beyond.
