CAT TUITION FOR OXFORD UNIVERSITY
The Oxford Classics Admissions Test (CAT) has been discontinued for applicants from 2027 entry. Students applying for Classics, Classics and English, Classics and Modern Languages, or Classics and Asian and Middle Eastern Studies no longer need to take a written admissions test. Instead, Oxford assesses candidates' linguistic ability and potential through the admissions process, including interviews and personal statement. Keystone Tutors represents experienced Classics tutors who can provide specialist support for students applying to Oxford, including super curricular learning, academic preparation, Latin and Ancient Greek tuition, written work and mock interview preparation.

How our Classics tutoring works
The Classics tutors we represent can help your child in practicing and perfecting their translation skills, working across a range of Latin and Greek texts as appropriate. They can also assist in working through the more nuanced areas of grammar, and in helping your child translate from English into Latin and Greek, to provide additional ways to practice and build up their confidence and speed.
All tutoring is tailored to the individual needs of each child based on their strengths, weaknesses, learning style and the entrance procedures of the course they are applying to.

Yes. Our Classics tutors are able to deliver in-person tuition in London. For those outside of central London we offer online tutoring.
The Classics tutors we represent are well versed in delivering online tuition, using videoconferencing and an interactive whiteboard. This gives students, wherever they are in the world, access to experienced, high quality tutors who are familiar with the requirements of the CAT admissions tests and Classics interviews.
We have a monthly reporting system which is used to update parents on an ongoing basis. The monthly report details:
- the focus of that month’s tutoring
- the form of assessment used
- the student's achievements and areas for further work
- the focus for the coming month
