I was born in Yorkshire and attended York College where I took A-Levels in Maths, Physics and Psychology. I then went on to do a masters degree in Mathematics and Statistics at The University of Newcastle where I achieved a first class honours.

Shortly after University, I moved to Hong Kong where I taught Maths and Science to a range of different students as well as working as a Senior Research Assistant at the University of Hong Kong in medical statistics. I have now moved back to the UK and am currently based in London to continue my tutoring career.

I am a dedicated maths and science tutor, specialising in exam preparation from Common Entrance through to A-Levels. Much of my adult life has been dedicated to the study of mathematics and I am passionate about helping students understand and enjoy the subject.

I started my teaching career at a learning centre in Hong Kong where I learned to adapt my teaching style for a wide range of ages and abilities (including students with extra needs) and, as such, I have a wealth of knowledge in using different learning styles for each unique student. I am very experienced at preparing students for specific exams; I have worked with pupils on their IB, A Level, GCSE and Common Entrance preparation and am familiar with the demands and expectations of the top UK schools for those making that transition.

My teaching style is thorough yet fun, I help my students by zoning in on areas they find a challenge, raising the students self-confidence and thus ability in the subject.

I am currently tutoring students in Hong Kong, London and many other locations on a full-time basis. When I am not tutoring I enjoy travel, the theatre and good food!
