I have always had a passion for Physics and Maths. These subjects work in harmony to unravel the rules of our amazing universe through science and numbers. This affinity led me during my university years to privately tutor secondary school students. Over the subsequent years I have continued to privately tutor in my spare time teaching Key Stage 3, GCSE and A-Level. I am now part of the Keystone Tutors team and I am dedicating more of my time to this fulfilling and rewarding role. I also teach in a charitable capacity tutoring students in foster care as well as those who's single-parents working as essential NHS staff.

I have taught Key Stage 3, GCSE and A-Level students who have attended Bromsgrove, Bryanstone, Caterham, Dulwich College, City of London Freeman's, Cheltenham Ladies College, Eton College, Eaton Square, Emanuel, Godolphin and Latymer, Sevenoaks, St. Mary's College Cambridge, St. Paul's, Westminster and Wycombe Abbey to name a handful.

I try to breakdown areas in subjects where I have found my students have struggled. Also by working on test and exam techniques, I have found that I have been able to build that necessary confidence in my tutees. From my experience, I have found it important to build a good relationship with my students and I find it immensely gratifying when they succeed.

Biography

I grew up for the most part in Surrey where I went to senior school and took my A-Levels in Maths, Physics and French. I went on to study Physics at Imperial College and it was during this time I started to tutor Maths and Physics during the holidays, tutoring pupils one to one, up to A-Level. I thoroughly enjoyed university where I was involved in various clubs and groups including being the Physics student year representative.

I went on to work in Madrid in finance and eventually returned to London to work in finance as a research analyst for over a decade. I am now pursuing other projects and interests including working in television and film, and of course tutoring as I find it immensely rewarding to teach and share knowledge.

Approach to Tutoring

Over the years I have found that tailoring my tutoring technique to each student provides optimal results. I find my students are all unique and different in their own way so my teaching methods vary with student age and ability. This makes it possible to achieve the most with the time spent with me.

I aim to make my tutees have a better comprehension and feel more confident in weaker areas through thorough explanation, practice and exercises. I have a patient approach which enables my students to feel more comfortable and ultimately when the time comes, they are more prepared and confident.

When not tutoring

When I am not tutoring I like to stay active playing tennis, football, golf, hiking and when I manage to get away to more distant locations I like to surf and ski.
