We are offering two options, an AQA course and an Edexcel course. Details for each course are below. These courses are suitable for separate science courses only, rather than dual award.
Biology AQA GCSE Course Description
This 4-day course will give students the opportunity to revise some of the core topics within AQA GCSE Biology. The course will cover the different concepts and key terms expected to be learnt and understood for the end of Year 11 exams. Students in the course will also have the opportunity to cement and test their understanding of each topic through a variety of different questions that will emulate the style of questions they are likely to face in the GCSE Biology exam papers.
Biology Edexcel IGCSE Course Description
Over the course of the 4 days we will look at areas of the syllabus that students tend to find more challenging, together with addressing specific aspects that might be raised by the students themselves during the sessions. We will work on consolidating knowledge and understanding as well as on building exam technique skills. The lessons will include a variety of activities such as multiple choice quizzes, questions requiring the application of knowledge and data interpretation and questions requiring longer answers; the students will have the opportunity to work independently as well as to participate in group discussions.
AQA Course Outline
Day 1:
Cell Structure, Cell Division and Cell Transport.
Day 2:
