These courses will give to students both the skills and confidence they need to revise and work alone, and will be especially useful to students from Year 10 upwards who will be revising, taking examinations, or simply working independently in the near future.

What to Expect

The Next Course: Christmas Holidays 2026.

The course is 3.5 hours long (with a 10-minute break after each topic).

This session teaches students how to organise their material most effectively, how to develop an effective working schedule, and helps them understand when and under what conditions they work best. This session aims particularly to develop independent learning skills, using a multitude of tasks.

This session introduces students to a range of revision techniques and explodes a variety of myths about revision. It emphasises the careful planning of each stage of the revision process in order to get the most from it. These skills will be fundamental to a successful learning career.

This session is more collaborative, in which students can discuss ways of approaching particular examinations. We will discuss, more broadly, how to prepare in the immediate run-up to exam day, how to plan in the exams themselves, and how to keep time, etc. These skills, too, will be essential in the long term.
