As a dedicated tutor, I believe my role extends far beyond teaching academic content; it’s about mentoring students to become well-rounded, analytical, and future-ready individuals.
My journey as a tutor began in 2010 during my iGCSE years when I first began helping my peers overcome academic challenges. Holistic Approach
Throughout my career, I have adhered to a philosophy of holistic education, where the goal is not only academic success but also fostering critical thinking, confidence, and a lifelong passion for learning. Whether I am preparing students for top schools, supporting them through their UCAS applications, or guiding them toward university success, I am dedicated to helping each student reach their full potential.
I was born and raised in London, where my passion for education and teaching first developed. My interest in Maths, Economics, and Computer Science grew during school, particularly through hands-on, experimental learning. This led me to run fun online and face-to-face science experiments during COVID, engaging students in interactive ways to make complex concepts come alive.
This approach to learning laid the foundation for my YouTube channel, ‘Learn with Rishi’, where I teach subjects like Computer Science, Mathematics, English, UKMT, and more. Through my channel, I create engaging lessons and problem-solving strategies that help students build a deep understanding of their subjects and approach learning with enthusiasm.
In addition to my academic background, I served as a member of the Youth Parliament, where I developed a strong foundation in Economics and Politics, shaping how I teach these subjects with real-world context and critical thinking. I also pursued a degree in Mathematics and Computer Science, where I was President of the Tech Society and led AI-focused projects, winning Top Innovator for my work in AI for healthcare and education.
With over 9 years of tutoring experience, I specialise in A-Level Economics, Business Studies, Mathematics, Computer Science, and entrance exam preparation (7+, 8+, 10+, 11+), GCSEs, A-levels, and the IB curriculum. I focus on simplifying complex concepts, making learning enjoyable, and inspiring my students to think critically, work independently, and develop a lifelong love of learning.
“Thank you for stepping in and teaching our Computer Science lessons. We know that it might not have been easy teaching us in the evening when we were tired! Your lessons were great and the mix of theory and practical skills were really enjoyable. We all came away from our lessons knowing far more about the subject and the exam. You are also a very friendly and supportive teacher which made the lessons really productive. We really enjoyed meeting you and want to thank you again for dedicating your time to teaching us.”
“I just wanted to leave you some positive feedback for Rishi Bagga who has been helping our son with his Maths iGCSE. Rishi has been a great coach for our son, really helping him build his confidence and preparing him for his exams. Rishi was always punctual, and kept in touch with us to give us updates on his progress. He has definitely helped him progress on in his Maths and I’d have no hesitation in recommending him to anyone.”
“Thank you very much for being my son's computer science teacher. My son is sick and can not concentrate for a long time. However, he enjoys the lessons and asks to have half an hour extra every time. Mr Rishi is a very kind and professional teacher. He is very patient and well-prepared for class. Mr Rishi has not only helped my son's grade from very good to Excellent; he has also helped build my son's confidence. We are very thankful to have met such a good teacher.”
As a dedicated tutor, I believe my role extends far beyond teaching academic content; it’s about mentoring students to become well-rounded, analytical, and future-ready individuals. My approach is rooted in developing a mindset that empowers students to navigate challenges with confidence, embrace curiosity, and excel in all areas of life.
I prioritise building a strong foundation in essential skills—critical thinking, problem-solving, and organisation—while fostering values such as discipline, resilience, and a lifelong love for learning. By instilling these qualities, I prepare students not only to achieve academic success but also to thrive in their future pursuits, whether in education or beyond.
Each session is tailored to the unique strengths, weaknesses, and aspirations of the student, with a focus on holistic growth. I help students become more analytical in their approach to problems, more skillful in managing their time and tasks, and more attuned to the value of education in shaping their future. My teaching philosophy ensures that every lesson leaves a lasting impact, equipping students with tools and strategies that extend far beyond the classroom.
Ultimately, my goal is to nurture confident, independent learners who value education as a key to unlocking their potential and making meaningful contributions to the world.
In addition to my work as a Software Engineer and Solutions Consultant, I am deeply passionate about the potential of Artificial Intelligence (AI), especially its transformative applications in education and healthcare. I advise clients on selecting and implementing the best software solutions to optimize their operations, bridging the gap between advanced technology and real-world impact.
Outside of my professional life, I’m an avid gym enthusiast who loves staying active and pushing myself through new fitness challenges. I also have a unique blend of creativity and discipline—playing the Indian drum (Dhol) at events worldwide, where I bring energy and rhythm to weddings, corporate events, and celebrations.
Another major passion of mine is running a full-time YouTube channel, Learn with Rishi, where I create engaging educational content on Computer Science, Mathematics, and other subjects. Through my channel, I strive to make learning interactive and enjoyable, helping students master complex topics and approach their studies with enthusiasm.
Additionally, I am proud to be involved and help run Army Days at Sandhurst, guiding potential recruits and providing them with insight into military life. This helps me to support in the AOSB (Army Officer Selection Board).
This combination of technical expertise, creative expression, and commitment to education defines my professional journey and personal passions.
