I have over ten years of teaching experience, primarily in Mathematics, working with students from Year 7 through to Year 13. My teaching expertise covers GCSE and A Level Mathematics and Further Mathematics, as well as A Level Music and GCSE Chemistry.

Throughout my career, I have consistently supported students in achieving excellent academic outcomes. Many of my A Level students have successfully gained places at prestigious universities, including Cambridge, Oxford, and Warwick.

I have also been a private tutor for the past eight years, working with students across a range of academic abilities and educational settings. My tutoring approach is tailored to the individual, focusing on building confidence, deepening understanding, and preparing students thoroughly for exams and university applications.

I am a father of two and husband to Emily. I was raised in the beautiful countryside of Shropshire, which gave me a deep appreciation for rural life and inspired my family’s move to Wiltshire. We love countryside walks, exploring local farms and spending time in our garden. I’m a passionate rugby fan and regularly support Bath RFC, and we enjoy cheering on local football teams at their matches on weekends.

I am a highly experienced mathematics teacher with over a decade of teaching and leadership experience. After graduating from Cardiff University with a joint honours degree in Mathematics and Music, I completed the prestigious Teach First programme in 2014.

Since then, I have held a range of senior roles in education, including Head of Mathematics, Head of House, and Mathematics Lead across a large multi-academy trust. These roles have equipped me with a deep understanding of effective teaching strategies and curriculum development, as well as experience supporting students of all abilities to achieve their full potential.

Over the past ten years of teaching I have found that the best pedagogues are those who:
a) love their subject
b) can communicate clearly
c) think that learning is great in and of itself

I am passionate about helping students develop confidence and mastery in mathematics. I will focus on building a strong conceptual foundation and tailoring lessons to the individual learning needs of each student. My desire is to foster an environment that helps students thrive academically and develop a lifelong appreciation for mathematics.

I hope that my love of my subjects would be clear to those I teach and, consequently, infectious!

Outside the classroom, I am currently kept busy by two little ones under 2! I am also a keen sports enthusiast, particularly enjoying football, tennis, rowing and rugby.
