I am a highly experienced private tutor offering online tuition in English, Mathematics, Latin, Italian and Drama, for 8+, 11+, 13+, 16+, GCSE, A-Level, drama school entry and curriculum support.
Past pupil success includes offers of places at St Paul’s Juniors (8+), St Paul’s Girls School, Godolphin and Latymer School and Francis Holland School (11+), Sevenoaks, Eton and Winchester College (13+), the highest grades at GCSE and A-Level Latin and offers of places at LAMDA, RCSSD and Bristol Old Vic Theatre School. I have over 1700 hours of combined tutoring and classroom teaching experience.

I specialise in tutoring for 11+, 13+ (English and maths) and 16+ (English) entrance and the Pearson Edexcel IGCSE in mathematics. I draw on my experience teaching in a primary school in Cambridge, my strong maths background including further maths A-level papers in pure mathematics and statistics at the highest grade, and 10 years' experience working in children's literature for an audiobook company.

I have also volunteered as an Oxbridge Outreach workshop leader for Teach First and sat on the audition panel at the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama.

I was born in the Roman city of Bath in the west of England, perhaps making a love of Latin inevitable. I attended The Perse School For Girls in Cambridge where I was awarded 10 A*s at GCSE. I sat A-Levels in Ancient Greek, Italian, Latin and Mathematics and AS English literature at Hills Road Sixth Form College, achieving an A (highest grade) in every subject.
I graduated from the University of Oxford in Classics and Italian where I was awarded the Heath Harrison Junior Scholarship and was a member of the Oxford University Dramatic Society. I followed my passion for theatre winning a full scholarship to take an MA in Classical Acting (specialising in Shakespeare) at the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama. I spent 10 years combining working on stage and as a voice actor with tutoring work. I have recently moved into a career of tuition while producing audio projects of classical texts.

I am a great believer that good tuition begins with a great relationship between tutor and tutee. I'm always keen to learn about my tutee's interests to tailor the course of study so it's engaging and accessible wherever they are starting from. It's important that my tutees have a sense of ownership of their study so we will set goals together. I come equipped with a wealth of subject knowledge and flare for creativity which I draw upon in my teaching. My lessons are dynamic, balancing instruction with plenty of time for student investigation and practice. Adaptability is a great strength I bring to tuition. I have taught a broad spectrum of age and ability. The principle common throughout is that learning is enjoyable and that it is my role to help a student feel relaxed and confident in their subject.

When not tutoring I am working on a project of recordings of Latin and Greek verse. This follows on from a project of staged readings from the Latin epic, Virgil's Aeneid, that I worked on with academics and opera singers in association with several UK universities and outreach organisations.
