I have been tutoring for 10+ years, and started upon completing my A Levels. Most of my students come to me for multiple subjects, which I find makes the tutoring experience more streamlined and less stressful for them. Over the years, I have also assisted students from various backgrounds, including those with autism, ADHD, dyslexia, dyscalculia and dyspraxia. Additionally, I have home-schooled students, helping provide a full education in regards to their studies of Maths, English, PE and/or Science. Overall, I have guided more than 100 students to achieving their goals, be it confidence-boosting, in-depth understanding of a subject, or the attainment of top grades.
I was born in London, and moved to Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia at age 7, where I attended both state and private schools. I returned to London in 2006 to take my A-Levels, achieving A grades in Maths, English Literature, Physics and Biology.
After completing my A Levels, I took a gap-year to learn the ins and outs of the music industry, while taking my first steps in private tutoring. Due to my passion for all things writing-related, I then opted to study Comparative Literature at UCL, in which I achieved a First.
All in all, I've been tutoring for slightly over 10 years!
My approach to tutoring is calm and considered. My decade+ experience has shown me that one size certainly does not fit all. As such, I formulate a bespoke plan for each individual based on personality type, set goals and urgency. Regardless of how we proceed, the atmosphere I curate is stress-free, jovial and organised. I encourage open dialogue as I want students to feel comfortable in being proactive in their own idiosyncratic ways, and to be able to ask the questions that they feel they can't at school.
I run a small music label, under which I release my own music and that of others signed to the label. In the music industry, I produce, write and ghost-write for others. While music is my first port of call in my free time, I also run a stand-up comedy night in London.
Otherwise, I train for pound-for-pound weightlifting competitions, which I enjoy participating in recreationally, as it helps keep my mind competitively sharp.
