I began tutoring in 2022 when I setup my own educational network in Dorset, reaching out to local families and developing a private, trust-based tutoring service. I offered French sessions to children aged 7-13, focusing specifically on common entrance exam preparation. In May 2026, I extended my experience as an educator to the classroom. I worked as a primary school teacher at Busua Methodist School in Ghana, covering the full range of subjects with the Year 5 class and preparing pupils for their end of year exams. This introduced me to teaching English as a second language, which was an exciting new challenge. In July 2026, I received the fantastic news that all the students in my class had passed.
Born and raised in London, with a two year interlude in Moscow, my family - now seven! - and I moved to Dorset in 2015. I attended Downe House School, where I studied English Literature (A*), Politics (A*), and French (A) for my A Levels, choosing to pursue the former at Durham University. I graduated in 2025 with an upper second class degree in English Literature. This year has been one of exploration - both professional, travelling to Ghana to work in a primary school, and geographical - I recently returned from a two month trip along the Silk Road, where I sought to expand my experiences in an around the ex-Soviet nations.
My time in Ghana inspired my application to UCL’s English PGCE course.
Through my experiences as both a classroom teacher and as a private French tutor I have observed the significance of individualisation in learning. In tandem with this, as the eldest of five children, I have deployed my capacity for empathy in educational environments to produce highly tailored, needs-based sessions to ensure that each student feels understood and, thereby, confident in their academic explorations.
I am currently studying my English PGCE with UCL, and thoroughly enjoy being both student - in the seats of lecture halls - and teacher - at the front of classrooms. Outside studying and tutoring, I am an avid lacrosse player and, inspired by a recent trip to Kyrgyzstan, have just started learning Russian.
