I have supported students across A-Level, IB and GCSE, in subjects including History, Geography and Politics. Alongside guiding them through syllabus content and coursework, a key focus of my work has been developing their essay technique. I am confident in supporting students who are aiming for the top band of the mark scheme, drawing on my understanding of what exam boards value and expect to see in top-scoring answers.

Between November 2023 and November 2024, I worked part-time for a tutoring agency based in Hong Kong. Much of my work was with students who wished to complete their IELTS examination to secure admission to top universities in the UK, including Oxford and Cambridge. Ages ranged from 15+. In addition to IELTS, I worked with students to draft their personal statements for UK university admissions.

I was born in London but spent most of my childhood in Devon, where I took my A Levels in History, Geography and Spanish. I studied a BA in History at King's College London, where I received a first-class degree with honours. Shortly after, I completed an MPhil in Politics and International Studies from the University of Cambridge (Fitzwilliam College), gaining a distinction. At Cambridge, I achieved the highest overall mark in the cohort, in addition to obtaining the highest mark for my dissertation.

I currently work as a Crisis Intelligence Analyst in London whilst tutoring part-time.

I'm a patient, approachable tutor with a genuine enthusiasm for making learning interactive and engaging. I support students in building confidence by teaching them how to justify their answers and support their reasoning with evidence. My sessions are discussion-based, creating a comfortable space where students feel free to ask questions and think for themselves. I recognise that every student learns differently, so I tailor my approach to suit their individual needs and help them reach their full potential.

I currently work full-time as a Crisis Intelligence Analyst at an AI company that focuses on real-time threat detection. I work Sunday to Thursday, 8 am to 4 pm (UK time). The nature of the job means that when I finish for the day, I hand the work over to our US-based team. This means that I will never work beyond 4 pm. I am very happy to tutor after work or on the days when I am not working. I live in Waterloo, so I am able to get around London easily if a student requires in-person sessions. I am also happy to conduct online sessions.

When I am not working or tutoring, I enjoy running, surfing (when I am in Devon, not London!) and reading.
