I have nine years of teaching experience in British schools, including Rugby School and Winchester College, where I served as Head of Economics. I currently serve as Head of Faculty (Social Sciences) at a Catholic boarding school in Ascot. Across my career I have taught A-Level Economics and A-Level Business to students aged 16–18. I have also been an examiner for A-Level Economics for the past 4 years.

Throughout my career I have worked extensively with students with a range of SEND conditions, including: dyslexia, dyscalculia, ADHD and ASD. I have accumulated substantial training, and I have a lot of experience in differentiating lessons to meet the needs of all pupils in my classroom. This is something I have also supported colleagues with, both experienced teachers and Early Career Teachers.

I have a long track record of delivering one-to-one tuition as academic intervention within schools, and I have been tutoring privately online throughout my teaching career (9 years). I am confident in the use of online tools such as interactive whiteboards and Google Suite to deliver engaging, effective lessons remotely.

I also have considerable experience supporting UCAS applications for Economics and related degrees, as well as preparation for admissions tests, including the TSA and more recently, TARA. I have helped pupils get offers from universities such as: Cambridge, Oxford, the LSE, Harvard, the University of Chicago and Stanford.

After completing an MA in Economics (First Class with Honours) at the University of Aberdeen in 2013, I took a gap year before pursuing an MSc in Behavioural and Economic Science at the University of Warwick, graduating with Distinction in 2015. I then completed my PGCE at University College London, before taking up my first teaching post as an NQT at Pate's Grammar School in Gloucestershire. I moved to Rugby School in 2017, and in 2019 I left to found Wandering Scholars, an education charity delivering summer schools in rural communities in Romania. In 2020, I took up a position as Lead Teacher of Economics at the London Academy of Excellence Tottenham, before being appointed Head of Economics at Winchester College in 2021, a post I held for three years. Since September 2024, I have served as Head of Faculty for Economics, Politics, and Psychology at St Mary's School Ascot.

I have been tutoring online for as many years as I have been teaching. My sessions are structured but highly responsive to the needs of each pupil. Sessions might involve helping a pupil to interpret essay titles, giving feedback on essays or papers they submit, tackling content they are struggling with, or helping them to revise topics for an upcoming test. Between sessions, I set targeted tasks aimed at addressing their weaknesses - often practice questions - which we discuss in the subsequent session.

I enjoy travelling during the holidays - the further afield the better. The United States, Russia, China, India, Japan, Cuba, and Saudi Arabia are some of the places I have been to. Out and about I like listening to podcasts and the latest music in various genres – which is the reason why my 'Spotify age' is 19. Weekends tend to revolve around friends, wandering round old English villages and cathedral towns, running, and cooking, with Indian and Chinese being the cuisines I find myself returning to most.
