I have over 7 years of tutoring experience focused on Biology, Chemistry, and combined sciences across secondary and early university level.
I’ve tutored GCSE and A-Level students one-to-one, mainly in Chemistry, Biology, and combined science, helping them with core topics such as chemical reactions, equilibria, organic chemistry, cell biology, genetics, and human physiology. I plan lessons around exam specifications, use past papers regularly, and focus heavily on exam technique as well as conceptual understanding.
Alongside this, I’ve supported undergraduate students in lab-based and theory modules, drawing on my biomedical/genetics background to explain practical techniques, data interpretation, and research methods. Across my tutoring to date, I’ve consistently helped students move up grade boundaries and gain confidence, particularly those who started out anxious about science or who had gaps from previous teaching.
With a strong foundation in the biological sciences, I hold two Master's degrees (distinction) in Nutrition Sciences and Biomedical Sciences. These were built on rigorous masters research in biomedical fields, where I excelled in molecular lab techniques and biochemical analysis.
Further, I went on to work on as a Research Technician in the Neuroscience department of University of Sheffield in projects connected to Motor Neuron Diseases (MND), while also mentoring undergraduates in biology and chemistry labs. I am also leading AI model development at my startup Solvia Health, focusing on data annotation and predictive healthcare tools. Since 2018, I have tutored 80+ GCSE/A-Level students in biology, chemistry, and combined sciences via freelancing platforms. This blend of academic distinction and hands-on experience drives my passion for simplifying complex science for learners.
My personal approach to teaching is warm, patient, and highly adaptable. I focus on understanding each student’s individual needs, learning style, and confidence level, then tailor my lessons to make learning clear, engaging, and effective. My aim is not just to help students improve their results, but also to build their independence, motivation, and long-term understanding.
Currently I'm pursuing another Masters in Entrepreneurship & Innovation Management with the intention of running my own businesses successfully in the years to come. I am balancing freelance scientific writing and tutoring in biology, chemistry, and combined sciences with my ongoing health tech development.
When not tutoring, I dive into my AI health startup Solvia Health, developing and training models for data annotation and predictive diagnostics, and pursue passions like painting, swimming laps for fitness, and podcasting on biomedical innovations.
For the next few years, I plan to commit fully to tutoring, building long-term client relationships at Keystone while gradually scaling my AI health research side projects at Solvia Health, my digital health-tech app and platform.
