I currently work as a teacher of Religion, Philosophy and Ethics at City of London School for Girls. I teach all key stages from years 7 to 12. Prior to working at CLSG, I worked at Trinity School Croydon for four years after leaving university. While working at Trinity, I did a lot of work preparing pupils for Oxbridge and university applications. I was also an EPQ mentor. While working at Trinity, I completed a PGCE at Buckingham. I have tutored for Clarendon Tutors since September last year. I am an enthusiastic teacher, and enjoy working with my pupils to prepare them to do well in exams. I have a strong track record of getting pupils top grades at both RS A-level and GCSE, and at successfully preparing them for entry to Oxbridge.

After graduating from the University of St Andrews with a First Class Degree in Philosophy, I started working at Trinity School Croydon where I worked for four years. At St Andrews, I was involved with debating, sailing and the university Philosophy Society. I am a very keen sailor, spending a lot of my holidays sailing off the coast of Great Britian in both Dinghies and Yachts. While working at Trinity, I ran the Navy Section of the School's CCF. I was also in charge of University Preperation for people wanted to study Philosophy at Oxbridge and other top universities. This involved helping to prepare pupils for interviews by running practice ones, and preparing my pupils for essay competitions and the Oxbridge Philosophy Entrance Tests. I have had lots of success at preparing pupils for Philosophy University admissions. This builds on my practice in the classroom, where the vast majority of my pupils have achieved top grades in their Religious Studies A-Levels and GCSEs. I am also an experienced EPQ mentor, mentoring pupils on topics ranging from Political Philosophy to Medical Ethics. I started tutoring alongside teaching because I enjoy teaching History, Geography and other subjects as well as Religious Studies, and this offered me an opportunity to do this. I have had lots of success with tutoring, with my pupils going on to do very well in exams. This is grounded in my thorough knowledge of the subjects and curriculums that I tutor. I know what the exam boards are looking for so I can help prepare pupils so that they know exactly what they need to know to do well. After leaving Trinity in 2024, I moved to City of London School for Girls. I am a passionate and enthusiastic teacher, with a love of learning for learnings sake. I am also a keen fencer and runner.

I am keen to stretch and challenge my pupils to achieve the best results they can. When tutoring, I aim to do this by building a strong rapport with them as I help them to prepare for their exams or university applications. At the start, I do this by identifying areas that focus is needed and then go from there to help build up the knowledge using AFL and other teaching techniques to ensure that the material is learnt. I design my sessions to be fun and enjoyable, and designed around the bespoke needs of the tutee.

When I am not working, I do a lot of sailing, running and reading. I also volunteer with the Worshipful Company of Haberdashers, acting as a mentor for some of their pupils from state schools. I am keen to do more tutoring because my job involves working four days a week, so I have time do this.
