My approach is rooted in building genuine understanding and confidence.

  • 13 years: GCSE Maths and Physics: AQA, Edexcel, OCR

GCSEs were the first qualifications I ever tutored, and I was over the moon to have helped my first-ever student improve by 2 grades from a C to an A. I was especially happy because she had tried two other tutors previously, but was unable to make the progress she was looking for until working with me. Having such an impact on my first-ever student brought a lot of pride and confidence in my tutoring abilities. In the 13 years since, I have enjoyed consistently helping students attain strong grades, including 8s and 9s.

  • 11 years: A Level Maths, Further Maths and Physics: AQA, Edexcel, OCR.

I have tutored these qualifications since 2015, immediately after achieving straight A*s (and 100% in most exams) myself. I have had great success tutoring these, helping students attain A and A* grades. I find Further Maths especially fun and interesting to teach.

  • 9 years: Oxford and Cambridge University STEM admissions.

I help students craft their personal profiles, perfect personal statements, and prepare for rigorous academic interviews as part of their Oxbridge applications. I especially enjoy leading practice interview sessions where I get to stretch my students' minds in interesting and diverse areas of STEM, to provide them with valuable experience in the unique Oxbridge interview environment, and provide them with specific, detailed, actionable feedback for improving their interview performance in areas such as mental flexibility, problem-solving resilience and effective articulation of thought processes.

  • 1 year full-time school-based tutor.

Selected to work full-time as a 1-to-1 tutor in a primary school, responsible for delivering targeted intervention to the lowest-attaining pupils. My focus was threefold: to raise their academic attainment, their enjoyment of school and their personal aspirations. I primarily supported students preparing for their SAT examinations in years 2 and 6. I helped my students achieve consistent improvements in attainment, confidence, and engagement, with most pupils making measurable progress towards expected standards.

I was born and raised in one of England’s most deprived towns to parents from rural India. Growing up with a sharp mind in an environment with few opportunities or role models forced me to learn early on that the only true limit to one’s potential is oneself. At sixteen, I set my sights on becoming an astronaut. This ambition drove me to achieve straight A*s in Maths, Further Maths and Physics at A Level and to become the first person in my family to ever attend university.

In 2016, I began reading Engineering at the University of Cambridge, where I graduated with BA and MEng degrees. Alongside maintaining a strong academic performance, I immersed myself in university life: I served as President of both the Queens’ College Engineering Society and the Cambridge University Hip Hop Society, competed in water polo tournaments, trained in mixed martial arts, and learned to fly solo in powered aircraft with the Cambridge University Air Squadron. My summers were spent studying space technologies in Russia, touring advanced manufacturing plants in China, building medical devices and earning adventure sport qualifications.

After graduating, I joined ARRIVAL as a Design Engineer (Feb 2021 - Apr 2022), developing autonomous electric vehicles and robotic manufacturing systems alongside colleagues from Tesla, Apple, Google and SpaceX. During this exciting period, I received an offer from the Royal Air Force to become a Military Pilot. I took the difficult decision to leave a beloved career in Engineering to try a career in Military Aviation, whilst I had the rare opportunity in my palms.

Between leaving ARRIVAL and joining the RAF, I had a few months available, so went solo backpacking through Latin America, where I learnt to speak Spanish, hiked up active volcanoes, scuba dived in caverns and soaked up the culture before returning to the UK to commence RAF pilot training (Jan 2023 - Jun 2025).

I graduated from the Royal Air Force Officer Training Academy as a Flying Officer in September 2023, then went on to fly the Grob Prefect aircraft. Alongside my RAF pilot training, I also took advantage of opportunities within the British Military Adventurous Training scheme, through which I obtained qualifications in mountaineering, sailing, skiing and mountain biking.

Flying military aircraft was an extraordinary experience, though I eventually recognised that I did not feel completely fulfilled in a career as a military pilot. I much preferred the creativity of my previous career in advanced engineering. This led me to return to a civilian career, where I am now exercising my creativity as a budding entrepreneur.

Alongside entrepreneurship, I combine my engineering background and teaching experience to inspire students to think deeply and independently about Maths and Science. For over a decade, tutoring has allowed me to share the skills and mindset which continue to develop my own life — a strong sense of self-belief, the courage to pursue big dreams and the discipline required to achieve them.

My approach is rooted in building genuine understanding and confidence. I help students see the why behind each concept, so they can think independently rather than rely on memorisation. I’m patient, encouraging, and adapt my teaching to each student’s personality, pace, and goals.

Whether preparing for GCSEs, A Levels, or Oxbridge interviews, I focus on developing confident communication and mature problem-solving skills that last beyond exams. I often use real-world examples from familiar contexts and the natural world to make abstract ideas vivid and memorable.

I believe learning should be an enjoyable process of discovery. My aim is for every student to leave our sessions feeling capable, motivated, and proud of their progress.

Alongside tutoring, I serve as an Engineering Officer in the British Army Reserves, where I maintain technical expertise and leadership skills in infrastructure engineering for expeditionary operations.

I am also an instructor for the RAF Air Cadets, through which I lead outdoor expeditions to help develop confidence and resilience in young people. Here I also teach classes in navigation, expedition planning and meteorology to our students, drawing on my experience and skills as a qualified mountain leader.

Outside of work, I lead an active life — I enjoy flying light aircraft, scuba diving, mountaineering, sailing and skiing. When at home, I value time spent with family and friends, and dancing to music.
