Biography
I grew up in Bath and achieved 4 A grades and 7 A*s at GCSE at the Royal High School. I then moved to King Edward's School where I took A-levels in Biology, Chemistry and Maths as well as AS Physics, achieving A grades in all. Following a gap year I went to Exeter University on the Millhayes Scholarship and gained a 2:1 BSc (Hons) in Biological Sciences. After that I had a complete change of tack and moved to London to study Post-Graduate Acting at The Actors' Company, LCTS and have been working (sporadically!) as an actress since. Despite being an actress I am reliable and committed - rarely does a private jet arrive to whisk me off to Hollywood. In fact, never! My work is predominantly theatre-based, although I can currently be spied in a Pizza Hut advert...
Personal Approach
I approach lessons with a 'friendly but firm' attitude and plan lessons to strike a balance between discovering new ways of tackling problems and reinforcing older material. I am organised and methodical and endeavour to help students achieve logical working methods that can be applied across a breadth of problems. I believe that confidence and support are crucial to a student's success both in the classroom and in exams.
What I do when I am not tutoring
In between acting jobs I run the accounts department for Keystone Tutors. I have been with Keystone for 2 years and am responsible for all invoicing and payments. When I'm not working I'm usually at the theatre, learning to fence (foil) or up a ladder decorating my flat.
