• A-level Religious Studies (AQA, Edexcel, OCR)
• iGCSE and GCSE Religious Studies (CIE, AQA, WJEC, Edexcel, OCR)
I started teaching Religious Studies at MPW and Collingham Tutors. After taking my PGCE, I taught at Frances Holland and Woldingham schools, teaching years 7-13, before joining DLD College in 2006. At GCE level I have mostly taught Ethics and Philosophy of Religion, and more recently Christianity. I have also taught St. John’s Gospel, Islam, Buddhism and Hinduism at GCE, as well as supervising coursework. My experience at GCSE level is similarly broad. I have made my own detailed student revision notes for the courses I have taught. I am an experienced GCE and GCSE examiner, working for AQA and Edexcel. I have also taught GCE Philosophy, PSHE (ethical, global and social issues) and EFL (I have a CELTA qualification). I have long been a personal tutor with responsibility for the academic and pastoral welfare of 10-15 students annually. I have extensive experience teaching students with SEN and have a certificate in study skills from the Hornsby Centre in London. I have worked for Academic Summer in London, teaching ethical and philosophical issues to 11-16 years-olds. I am also an experienced private tutor, including long-term tutoring jobs.
