Alexander thought Sung was very helpful with explaining circular theorems and the different rules they entail. We've made another appointment for this week. (Thursday?) Alexander definitely had a good rapport with him.
Perhaps it was because of Harrow. Sung seems like a genuinely nice guy.

Thank you for your December report on Alice, and indeed for the preceding reports which I have not got round to politely acknowledging. The reports are useful and confirm Alice's own feelings about her work. David has established a good rapport with Alice and her confidence has risen. David's help has coincided with an improvement in the teaching at school, so the two together are giving Alice some much-needed hope and work-satisfaction.

Yomi was great - Miranda had a 2 hour session on Sunday where she said she learnt more than in 40 hours of lessons at school ! I think it is very likely she will want some future lessons but not sure when.

It is funny how Adam now is like a member of our family. He is proving to be a great tutor and just as important a good role model for Henry. Those two are a great team and even share the same birthday!

Karim has been working hard and I am hoping he will do well on Saturday.

Both Rahel and Rob are charming young men. Karim gets on very well with them which makes tutoring for many hours over a half term holiday not an unbearable affair!

Rob is excellent. He makes a huge effort and engages in way that makes Karim and I feel that he genuinely cares. He has been a wonderful coach and I feel that Karim's English has come a long way. I hope this will, as Rob wrote, 'reflect during the exams'.

We have been very pleased with Matt. He has taken Alexander a long way already and just maybe we will be in a position to achieve a good result at the 7+. We all appreciate that it is a challenge, but if nothing else, it will prepare Alexander for the 8+.

Again, you have chosen an excellent tutor in Matt. He is also working with Alexander's teacher at school to coordinate and enhance lessons being taught at school. I will attempt to keep you informed as we progress towards the end of the Year.

Things are going well thank you. I think Octavia has had two Spanish lessons with Chris. There was supposed to be a third yesterday morning but Chris had hurt his foot and could not travel, so he looked at her essay over the internet instead, which was fine.

She is also having lessons with Emily Henderson for French, and she says Emily seems the more experienced tutor of the two and is excellent. However, she has still found Chris very useful.

Hope this is useful feedback. We are, once again, very impressed with Keystone.

It went really really well. Thanks for asking.

James was fairly doped up with a cricked neck, so they actually just chatted about Winchester as James had been uncertain about it following an awkward interview with the Head.

I left them to it but could hear gales of boyish laughter and James in a very relaxed mode agreeing to tell Ben all the areas he can’t do (fantastic). He has also – completely extraordinarily – done his homework since with attention (mostly – ok, punctuation not perfect) and is really enthused.

So no active work so far but real inspiration. And that’s an essential first step. Very helpful that Ben is pretty much the same age as James’ cousins and pretty much in the same mode as them (eg James and he agreed that they would both prefer to sleep in for another half hour on Saturdays and to meet half an hour later).

Hi - I think it went well.
Orlando obviously wasn't too pleased about having to do some work but he says he really liked Nick and I'm hoping it will get easier for Nick as they get to know each other better. I really liked the way Nick was trying to get him to organise his ideas when writing - that's the kind of thing I think some teachers just expect boys to know but its quite an acquired skill!

Thanks for these. Adam is excellent. Very professional in his approach (as I’m sure you can tell from his reports). William had asked me to get him a tutor for the holidays, so I know that he feels he benefits.

Andrew is also excellent but both my children have been struggling with French so I don’t think it’s easy for him. Catherine is doing much better with her Maths though and this is testament Andrew’s tutoring skills.

100% happy with Isabelle. She had a brilliant way of tutoring because she combined being friendly with rigour and drive. She ensured that Olly had really understood a concept by just the right number of worked examples to guarantee that nothing was left out or skated over.

His Maths results are now massively improved - ditto Chemistry where the Maths element was keeping him adrift from A* potential. He recently got 89% in a test exam, so it must have worked.
Couldn't be more delighted - will happily book again for my daughter for next Spring. If Isabelle is still on your books, I would have her again like a shot.
Invoice will be paid straight away. It is always hard for us parents to add tutoring bills to already massive school fees, but it makes sense when the value is so palpable. I told Isabelle that we shall keep in contact and will tell her Olly finally performs in his GCSEs.
