Experience
With each summer spent at Pinewood Prepatory school I gained more responsibility, moving from a gap student position, to that of a cover-teacher, to teaching-assistant. During my time I worked closely with each age group, ranging from academic years reception up to year 8 (ages 4 to 13). What I enjoyed most was working with my father’s year 8 English classes, preparing them for their common entrance exams. I have been tutoring through keystone for the past year and have had extremely consistent positive feedback from clients.

Biography
I have recently graduated from Exeter University with a high 2:1 (68.5 %) in English Literature. Between the ages of 7-13 I was educated at the Dragon school in Oxford. During this time I lived in the senior boarding house, which was run by my parents. After the Dragon I gained the top academic scholarship to Cheltenham College, and completed my school education. I gained top grades at A level (English-A, History-A, Theatre Studies-A), thriving particularly in English Literature (I was awarded a distinction in the AEA). Whilst at school I also excelled in drama, music and games.
During my gap year I began a position at Pinewood Prepatory school, where my family live and where my father is headmaster. After this period I completed a secretarial course and worked for a PR firm in the city, before spending four months travelling the world.
I took up my place at Exeter University in 2007, and after graduating this summer have moved up to London. During each summer term at Exeter I returned to my father’s prep school where I advanced greatly, both in the responsibilities I was given, and in my desire to teach.
Personal Approach
I am intelligent and creative and have an innate understanding of and affiliation with children. I have not only worked with them consistently over a period of five years but have also grown up, in my father's Prep school, surrounded by them. My great-grandfather owned and ran a prep school in Malvern, my father is now an inspirational headmaster. I think that teaching is in my blood and I would like to tutor for the foreseeable future. I approach teaching with a mixture of patience and passion.
What I do when I am not tutoring
I have recently moved to Fulham. After spending a month looking after two children I am now actively looking for tutoring work, whilst also pursuing a career on the stage.
