Have your child challenge their perceptions and develop their writing skills with The Imaginarium – a new one-of-a-kind programme designed by Chelsea Young Writers and the experienced educator and Keystone Tutors founder Will Orr-Ewing.
Incorporating time spent at Holland Park Ecology Centre, this novel course will fuse a study of the local natural environment with the encouragement of a wider artistic appreciation to ignite your child’s imagination and unleash their creative talents.
Understanding the natural environment is essential to nurturing an enquiring mind and cultivating a passion for the wider world, especially given our increasingly urbanised and digitised lifestyles. As such, the Imaginarium will reconnect 9 – 11 year-olds with the wonder of animals, plants, rivers and the skies, taking them on a journey of discovery, learning and inspiration.
After being guided through the marvels of the natural world by charismatic, talented and experienced session leaders, your child will be presented with a series of prompts, inspired by relevant and celebrated literary passages. These will help them reflect on their experiences and create a series of original and thoughtful compositions. All manner of flora and fauna will be introduced to our budding writers and naturalists.
