This course offers year 11 students a programme of weekly GCSE Maths online classes, covering topics that students often find most challenging. Importantly, all of these topics are examined across all GCSE & IGCSE exam boards. Mastering these topics will be critical for students aiming for the highest grades, and as such these sessions are aimed at students who are predicted a grade 8 or 9 at GCSE.
This course runs on Mondays 4.30pm - 6pm (UK Time) during term time throughout the academic year and is designed for students to join at any time during the course, subject to availability.

This course will be run by one of our professional tutors, Jon. Jon is a former Head of Science with over 10 years' experience in teaching GCSE Science and A-level Physics. He joined Keystone in 2012 and has helped 240 Keystone families over this period, teaching more than 9,100 hours.
- Target Student: Students in Year 11 with a predicted grade of an 8 or 9.
- Programme Structure: Every 4th session will be an assessment session allowing the course tutor to review each student’s understanding of the topics covered in the previous 3 sessions. During this session students will receive some 1-to-1 support and feedback from the course tutor.
- Session Length: Every lesson will be 1.5 hours long.
- Focus Areas: Topics typically covered in Year 10 that transcend the GCSE & IGCSE exam boards. Each session will be discreet and standalone allowing students to join the cohort at any point.
- Assessment: Course tutors will use a variety of different means to measure student progress throughout each session; assessment methods included group discussions, individual questioning, worked examples, peer review and past paper questions.
- Homework: After each session students will be set homework to complete on the focus area covered in the previous lesson. This will comprise of past paper questions and can be completed online.
- Platform: Lessons will take place on Zoom, which is free and straightforward for students to use. A link will be sent out ahead of the course start date. Take a look at this video to see our online teaching in action.
- Maximum Class Size: We teach in groups of no more than 10 with the average class size being smaller.
