Personal Approach
I believe in helping students find their own words to explain any problem areas. I work with them to create a book of notes that make sense to them from which they can revise and refer back to.
I think it's imperative that the student is able to identify his or her own weaknesses in order to find comprehensive ways to make sense of them. The effects are of course much longer lasting than merely having a teacher/tutor explain it to them.
What I do when I am not tutoring
I also work as an actor. Credits since graduating from university include the RSC's ''Dunsinane'' (Hampstead Theatre), ''Names of Birds'' (Royal Court, Rehearsed Reading), ''Amphibians'' (6 Off West End Award Nominations), ''Fastburn'' (Kneehigh Theatre Company), ''How to Vote'' by James Graham (Bush Theatre), ''Fit'' (Feature Film), ''Cut'' by Freddy Syborn, ''Hooked' (Hoxton Hall) and ''Threshold'' at Edinburgh Fringe Festival (Total Theatre Award nomination)
