Biography
Following an enjoyable and successful career at school, taking A-Levels in History, Theology and Biology, I went on to study Modern History at New College, Oxford where I achieved first class honours in 2009. I've just finished studying law, and start the Bar course in September before undertaking pupillage in 2012.
Personal Approach
Where education has become increasingly results-based, I find that it is important give pupils a thorough background to what they learn. This means putting historical concepts in their relevant context, or explaining the practicalities of science or maths. Not only does this help them understand material better, but keeps interest levels high contributing to their overall success. From my own experience, I have learned that tempo is all important. Every student has different needs and abilities that need to be worked on or amplified, and therefore, knowing when to push or consolidate is crucial.
What I do when I am not tutoring
Studying Law, taking up cycling. Football, tennis in London. Windsurfing where weather permits.
