Biography
Tim has an MSc with Distinction in Psychology and a long background of excelling at mathematics.
At school, Tim was top of his class for Maths, went on Master Classes and was put around the Top 1% of the country after assessment.
At college, his class mates asked him to stop asking so many questions during lectures.
At university, Tim was the person that others came to for help.
Outside of academia, he pursues adventures such as traveling Around the World in 80 Ways, organising polar expeditions and completing a 15-hour triathlon to visit a friend on the Isle of Wight .
Personal Approach
I believe in letting people work things out for themselves, guiding them where necessary but rarely spelling it outright
I believe in courtesy, politeness and unconditional positive regard
I believe that study is like exercise - it's not about working hard, it's about working right
I believe in positivity over negativity
I believe that learning should be treasured throughout life and instilled as a privilege from the outset
What I do when I am not tutoring
I am establishing myself as someone who can help people undertake adventures and support expeditions whilst organising a few of my own and writing about them.
Much of this documented through my website: www.thenextchallenge.org

''Tim was terrific and unfortunately worked his way out of a job! [Ad...] is quite confident now and does not feel the need for more tutoring. We were very pleased with Tim.''
''I just thought you'd like to know that thanks to you helping George in his maths gcse he managed to get an A* which he his very pleased with.
Thank you for All your help.''
''Ted said he wanted to get in touch with Tim to let him know. He was very pleased with himself as he got 2 B's in Drama and English, 5 C's in Maths, Science, History, D in RE and E in Media. Above the grades he needs for the course he has chosen to do. Pretty good for him I think and above his predicted grades so that's great. He says he thinks the tutoring really helped which I'm sure it did.''
'' I wish my teachers at school were half as fun as them.''
