Biography
I was born in London, but spent several years growing up in Australia, before returning to England at the age of 10. I graduated from Oxford University in 2008, receiving a Double First in English Language and Literature. During my time at Oxford, I was awarded the Lawler Prize, the Gibbs Prize, and the Mrs Claude Beddington Prize. I have recently finished an MA in Modern Literature at UCL.
Personal Approach
I aim to tailor my approach to each individual tutee differently, in order to bring the best out of the student. Sometimes, this requires a more rigorous revision of work dealt with in school. Often, however, this means exploring avenues that are not necessarily covered by teachers in the classroom, and bringing in topics or material that helps the student to approach the subject from a different angle, and gain a rounder knowledge of the area of study.
What I do when I am not tutoring
I am currently writing screenplays for film and TV, as well as doing research for a novel that I plan to write once I have completed my current project.
Testimonials
I have successfully helped tutees acheive the GCSE and A-Level grades they aimed for, as well as helping several students gain places at their chosen universities.
